Bos and Miami trade idea

To Bos: Anthony and 2016 1st

Since Dwade injury Miami is looking for a SG. Jcraw could do ok on a deep team like Mia. 

Again not sure what his future is with Bos. We also have Lee on the books for a another few years.

Anthony is a pretty decent player and can come from the bench. Humprhies is likely traded or will not be here next year, so the added front court depth is ok. Best is, we get a future 1st, while not having to take the risk of losing Jcraw nothing after this year.

Not sure about dealing Crawford but getting another big would be nice.

I think we keep Crawford at this point.

I think Lee would be traded for the right return.  I would think we could do better than Anthony though...and even if we could get a first from Miami, likely to be late in the round for foreseeable future.

Anythony is utterly garbage - he makes Perk look like Shaq in his prime.

The 2016 1st round Pick would likely be a very low first rounder (i.e. 25-30, practically a 2nd round pick). 

On the other hand Crawford has really played nice for us this year and is starting to get a little bit of attention around the league with his improved play and attitude.  If he continues to play this way and Boston continues to overachieve, Crawford will be the type of player a lot of teams would have an interest in - a true combo guard with legit PG skills, who can also score in bunches. 

He could be a valuable asset for us in potential sign-and-trade deals, or failing that we let him go and $5M in cap space comes off our books.  Either option is far more valuable to us then Joel Anthony and a really, really low first round pick.

Anthony wouldn't help us and the #1 in 2016 probably isn't a high pick so I don't see why unless we want to tank.

This. Their only asset is this year's Philly pick, but it's top 14 protected in 2014 and 2015, then becomes Philly's 2016 and 2017 2nd rounders. Not worth the loathing of sending a valuable Celtic down there.

I think that we can certainly get more for Crawford than that!!  I realize that it is sometimes torture to watch Crawfish, but it might be better to hang onto him and see if he could potentially flourish in the sixth man role.  Besides, we all have NO idea when Rondo will be back and what he will look like.

I'm happy to make a TP bet with anybody that we don't get a #1 for Crawford.  He's not worth that, and 30 franchises in the NBA know that.  A 2016 first rounder from Miami or any other team would be a huge steal for us.

Agreed. Anthony's contract is a turd but you can't pass up a first for Crawford.
