Our position in the draft based on standings

Just heard an interesting fact on everyone's favorite show Felger and Mazz, if the celtics make the playoffs as the fourth seed they are not allowed a pick in the lottery, so if they make the playoffs the best pick they can get is the 15th overall.

Thought that was a really interesting point.

I was unaware of this, if this is common knowledge I apologize and feel free to delete the thread.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

Pretty common knowledge. All playoff teams pick in order (worst to best record), starting right after the 14 non-playoff teams. The picks of playoff teams are not affected by the draft lottery at all.
