I didnt vote because there was no "DWill, Joe Johnson, and Lopez are terrible fits together" option.

I think its a factor of a lot of these together. They are constantly swapping starters due to injuries, kidd needs to focus on the games and mainly the second half of the games. There's just so many hits they're taking and you can visually see that they're loosing heart.

I don't think that their main issue is the injuries, but I think it is having a huge impact on what they're trying to be as a team.

It's mostly injuries and Jason Kidd, but almost everything listed is a factor.

I voted for all of the above except the last one. It appears that 33 wins gets you a playoff berth in the East. Even the pathetic Nets can win 33 games. I think that Pierce and KG have nothing left and Danny Ainge sold the Nets a mountain of Southwest Airline Peanut bags for Humphries, Wallace, Bogans, and how many Number 1's?

Jason Kidd as HC fires Lawrence Frank assistant coach? Seriously?
The beatings will continue until morale improves

A nice quote from Van Gundy

Quote
"I don’t think this is on Jason Kidd. Some people have really taken a lot of what I said about him as being critical of him but it’s not. I think if you look at Mark Jackson or Doc Rivers when he started, guys who have not been assistant coaches before they got their NBA head jobs, what they had was situations where at least in their first year the expectations weren’t that high. So you had the freedom to make some mistakes, sorta out of the scrutiny, at least the national scrutiny, of everybody.

"Jason Kidd entered a job with very high expectations, for a guy who never coached I think that’s really, really difficult. He may grow into a very, very fine coach — but no one is a great coach when they first start. I’m sure Doc Rivers would tell you in all honesty that he is a far better coach now than he was when he first started. Not to say he wasn’t good when he started but you get a lot better over time. Jason Kidd was expected to be great."

KG at PF is not ideal for him anymore.  Remember he played C for us the past couple years, and it was better for him at this stage of his career.

Yeah Doc did, but it would also have to be considered that Doc had a worse team, so the expectations were lower. So the pressure was less, and he could just coach. Same with Jackson. Kidd has the world on his shoulders, even ownership said its a win this year or nothing. Which just shows how bad ownership is, you never just build for one year, unless its to loose.

umm... injury problems, clearly.  But it's not a "lack of backup SF"... it's the lack of superstar PG.  Deron has been hurt.  Brooklyn will turn it around.

Deron Williams hasn't been a superstar in my eyes for quite a while.
