Paul George literally just went ham last night. He absolutely was determined to try to win, shooting I think at least 5-6 threes with three of them back to back along with two nice steals.

Does anyone remember the rumors for Paul Pierce for Granger? And that the Pacers weren't interested, but wouldn't mind giving up their young back up instead? Imagine if we got Paul George now.

Holy crap a line up of Rondo, George, Green, PF Sully, C Faverani/KO would be absolutely crazy. Not only would our perimeter defense be even twice as better, but the bigs would actually be able to focus on defending the paint instead of help defense with George anchoring the top of the key.

As much as it sucks to say it... trading Pierce and Garnett last year was probably the best idea. The fact we could've got Bledsoe could've made it all that much more sweeter. If DA could have a wishing ball into the future, I'm sure he would've traded Garnett and Doc Rivers for Bledsoe, and Pierce for George.

Now I know I don't exactly sound like a Celtics fan. But those two have already changed their teams offense, and prove they can lead a team. I don't think we have anyone on our team that can do it besides Sully or Green.

It was something like Pierce for Granger and Psycho T. I remember hearing Ainge wanting Paul George over Granger similar to how Ainge originally wanted James Harden over Jeff Green in the Perk Trade.

Ainge knows his stuff!

Obviously we would of loved to acquire Paul George.. After everything has already happened, but at the time we definitely were not ready to give up pierce. Now, if nets continue to be as bad as they are... Danny Ainge made maybe the greatest trade of all time.

Paul George has never been available. They've loved him in IND since day one.

It's my understanding that BOS and IND talked about a Rondo swap before the 2010-11 deadline. When Ainge asked for George, Bird made it clear George was in no way touchable even if more assets were added, and there was no one else Ainge wanted on Indy's roster... so the discussion ended.

talent evaluaters like Ainge, Bird, RC Buford, Sam Presti, etc know what the heck they are doing.  Doesn't mean they will hit a home run every single pick or trade.  But for the most part they know their sh*t.  Ainge wanted Harden instead of Green.  He wanted Paul George in a Rondo discussion, Steph Curry in a Rondo rumor.  He wanted Chris Paul in a potential Rondo deal.  He's not kidding when he says that he loves Rondo and isn't trading him.  that's code for he's staying with the Celtics unless I'm blown away with an offer.

things took time in Indy but that Paul George pick is looking incredible.

I'm really hoping the Jared Sullinger at 21 pick turns out to be a big time steal too.  It's already looking that way.  I think by year 3 or 4 he's a 17/10 guy for us.  pretty good considering he was drafted in the 20's.

We just need to have faith.

I mean, crap.  Even that Perk for Jeff Green deal looks like a robbery.  Would you rather have Green or Perk right now?

I absolutely remember when the idea of Pierce for Paul George became a rumor.  I remember specifically that Celtic fans thought it was an outrageous joke that we'd trade our franchise player for some scrub.  I also remember specifically going to the Pacers RealGM forum and seeing fans talking about it... saying it was outrageous that they'd trade their "phenom" future franchise player for some old player.

Pacer fans thought Paul George as a phenom pretty early on.  I remember wondering if they were just being homers or if they had some basis for believing a guy averaging 8 points was a "phenom".

Well, they get to watch him every day, and we get to watch box scores. On the other hand, fans also tend to have a very slanted perception of player value, so go figure...

Something called loyalty.

I don't know whether others care or not, but it's hard to see your team trade two guys who gave their all for your team to some other team just so you can be good. That is incredibly selfish and just not right. In fact, I'd rather be bad for the next couple of years knowing that even though I ended up trading Pierce and KG, that they are in fact a better place than this team and that I at least returned a tiny bit of what they gave to this franchise back to them.

Just remember one thing: Pierce didn't look for his own benefit when he saw that the team was bad and was going to stay bad (like we look for our benefits by trying to send him away in all possible trades) and that KG brought a culture to this team that still remains and will remain in the future as well as built players into what they are (Perkins, Big Baby, RONDO, Bradley, helped Sully and countless others).

It's very easy to forget everything and look for your own benefit, but let's show a little loyalty and support to guys who sacrificed for the better of this franchise.

Let's not forget that Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett could have done what Ray Allen did and go to the Lakers after they lost in 2010 Finals or go to some other definite contender. They had tons of opportunities to do this.

These guys gave importance to every single game, giving their heart out, whether it was against the Bobcats or the Heat. They played through injuries and in some cases, forced their way back from an injury (KG in '09 was pushing all out to get back from his knee injury until he was forced to be out for the season).

It amazes me how easily we forget all this and start looking for our own benefits. It amazes me that many of the "Celtics fans" have no loyalty whatsoever.

I can remember hearing about Pacers fans referring to Brandon Rush the same way.

I can remember Celtics fans saying the same thing about Reggie the first year he got PT.
