Good simple question here (though I'd add in Jeff Green, since he's a 'piece' also).
Lee's trade value is nil since he fell out of Doc's rotation last year. He'll have to be packaged in a bigger deal to get traded, or at the very least sent out for a comparable contract that a) expires at the end of the 2015, and b) belongs to an utterly useless or disliked player. Lee for an expiring contract isn't happening.
Bass has much better value. To me, he's the C most likely to be traded by himself before the deadline. Lots of teams could use a lunchpail guy who can shoot and defend at the 4. He's not overpaid and his contract is short. Examples:
- could see the Heat trading Haslem (dead weight, same length deal, smaller dollars), Lewis and a pick for him
- could see GSW trading Speights (dead weight, same length deal, smaller dollars) and a rookie contract for him, maybe Ezili
- could see CLE trading Earl Clark (dead weight, same length deal, smaller dollars) and something for him
By the way, love your Detroit idea, but can't see Dumars buying that it's time for them to go 'all in' with these two -- it clogs them up pretty good for the next couple of years.
