Just curious what everyone thinks our guard rotation will be going forward?

Jordan Crawford and Avery Bradley have both made a case to be in the top three when Rajon Rondo returns, but what about Courtney Lee and Phil Pressey? We have seen Jeff Green at SG in some of Brad Stevens lineups as well.

I think it will be Rondo and Bradley starting and Crawford as the first off the bench if we need offense, Lee if we need defense. That means probably not many minutes left for Pressey.

I guess we shouldnt be surprised to see Crawford start over Bradley at some point, but i am not sure how I feel about that.

I've been very confused all year as to why Pressey plays so many minutes, or any really.  With Rondo out it seems like the perfect oppurtunity to force feed some confidence/ryhthym into Courtney Lee.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

No, Crawford will not be starting over Bradley.  Besides the fact it might put Bradley in a position where he has to be the PG, Bradley is the better player.

For both talent and fit, Bradley will start at SG.  Crawford could be a very good combo guard off the bench, who could provide instant offense with his scoring and passing.  Let's see if Crawford can continue to keep improving first, though.  He does seem well on his way.

How about we trade jcraw while his value is up ?

He is not going to be brought back next year imo.

The way he is playing against mediocre teams , he is going to want 5 million a year for more than three years. We also have to worry about resigning bradley (who is going to ask for 8-9 million yearly).

You always think about rondos next deal etc. So cap management and lastly have a ton of picks coming up.

I dont really care if we keep jcraw as a backup if he especiqlly comes cheap. But unless he plays better against playoffs teams i rather have someone else be the 1st guard off the bench. Other teams have jack, jamal crawford, jr smith, etc as first guards off the bench. And we are going to have jcraw?

imo, we shouldn't worry about who is getting mins. & who isn't.

I would expect Bradley to start opposite rondo and hopefully Crawford relieves 1 of the 2 or both. then pressey used in certain situations. if lee never sees the floor i'd be fine with that, he's way overrated.

The rotation with rondo back is the main reason I think crawford needs to be traded soon. Crawford is playing at an all time high right now. His stats will definetly drop wih rondo coming back. A side effect will also be less time to lee further killing his value. The Cs need to trade crawford and move lee the first guard off the bench. Then hope the return of rondo bumps up lees production.

A team that has a hole in its starting lineup might be interested in Crawford right now.  Otherwise, he may need to prove to some teams that he can handle coming off the bench without complaining, getting 15 minutes per game when he may be shooting better than Avery Bradley.

This is pretty much what I see except with Pressey playing a few games in garbage minutes. I think Pressey will be with the Celtics next season as a 2nd or 3rd string PG option, just because by then he will know the plays and Brad Stevens system.

My hope is that we draft a starter (All Star) quality wing player that will solve all these questions going forward. Then all we need is a couple backup role players at the guard positions to fill out the roster.

There's a decent chance that Pressey gets thrown into an off-season trade because he is unguaranteed for next season.
