Do they blow it up. Do we have a shot at Noah?

that sucks big time for Chicago!!! hope for a speedy recovery for Rose, and at this point I'd seriously consider rebuilding

I think they have to blow it up. No other options.

even if they "blow it up", i think Noah is the least likely guy to be traded from the team.

Agreed.  I think Boozer and Deng are two very likely players to go.  Both make more than Noah.

They've definitely got to consider unloading Boozer and Deng.  The Bulls need to focus on being a contender 2-3 years from now, not next year.

This is actually bad news for us. Chicago is now selling at the trade deadline. Just like us.

This puts a damper on this season for sure, but I don't really see how this injury calls for a major shakeup with the bones of this team.

Just spit balling, offer them Crawford for their first. He can help them right now and is only signed through this year.

I know I love Noah because when I watch him, I hate him. One of those players that gets under skin if he is going against you, one of those players you love if he is playing with you.

He would be a great fit with our bigs because he could supplement their skill sets very well. Not to mention he is one of the best passing bigs in the game.

The only problem...no way they trade him.

Deng and Boozer will go first if they want to blow it up - which I don't think they will as they contended without Rose last year.

My dream is that Chicago keeps trying to compete this year, and we can get mirotic.  Something like this:

Bass, Crawford, Vitor, and Bogans

For

Boozer, Teague, and rights to Mirotic.  This improves them this year and clears $9 million in salary next year giving them room to re-sign Deng, making them a better team next year as well.  Meanwhile, we get Mirotic.  Hey, I can dream.  (Teague is mostly a throw-in with a little upside.)

Note:  Obviously this deal can't occur until Bogans and Vitor can be traded.

And this is why Rose should have come back at the end of last season.  Yeah, his return might have screwed up the Bulls chemistry and maybe they wouldn't have done any better but you've got to take that shot when it is there.

No one is guaranteed the future.

My dream is that Chicago keeps trying to compete this year, and we can get mirotic.

Mirotic is pretty much their best shot at getting an All-Star-caliber player to pair with Rose.  I don't think they are giving him up unless they are getting an established star in return.

Hence why this is my dream.

I'd say I was shocked at how many fans over at Blog-A-Bull want to trade Noah, but given all of the Rondo threads here I shouldn't be.

I think Noah/Mirotic/Butler is what they will plan trying to put around whatever Rose can give them. Everything else will be shopped hard.
