Likely just Roy throwing his Georgetown boy some love but still some interesting stuff.

Quote
Roy Hibbert played with Jeff Green for three seasons at Georgetown and the Indiana Pacers' center has faith that Green can be the Boston Celtics' go-to star.

“I just tell him it’s his team, you’re always going to have growing pains,” Hibbert said. “I had growing pains the past couple of years and they have a good GM, a good president, so they’re going to bring good, quality players depending on the cap. He’s a good player. I wish him the best, just not against us.”

Green has gone through struggles this season but is still confident in his ability to lead the Celtics as their go-to guy.

“Yeah, for sure,” Green said recently. “I’m going to always feel like that, no matter what.

“Now all the attention is on me. I’ve been the guy who has been the third option most of my career. Now, it starts with me, in my eyes. But we’ve got to figure it out as a team how we can get past that and how we can win as a team.”

Jeff talks like he's aggressive but plays like a third option. He needs to be able to go left before he becomes our go to guy. He's just limited on the offensive game. But Hibbert is just getting his friends back

he can be the go to scorer, but even that is only because Rondo likes to pass the ball more then shoot it. also our total lack of top tier scorers.

in no way will this be "his team" its Rondo's team for now with maybe Sully a distant second.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Green plays like a 6th man, he's not a 3rd option on a championship team type of guy.

James Harden was the 6th man for OKC when they reached the Finals, while also being their third offensive option. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

  • Thumper of the BASS!
Roy believes it
i def know he can do it
many others are pushing for him
to take control and lead us

but none of that matters if Jeff Green don't believe it

his team or not, I want him to have confidence. What people say (his team, or his team, Rondo's team, Jeff's team, whatever!), is irrelevant, as long as he plays with confidence and dominates.

Look at Miami, is it Lebron's team, or Wade's team (I know, I know, everyone will say it's Lebron's team now). OKC (Durant or Westbrook, I say Durant). But that's not stopping Wade and Westbrook from scoring 20ppg and tearing defense apart.

Green needs to be consistent and mean!

Really frustrated with Jeff green bashing, it's a post about a ex teammate complimenting and helping prove that nothing is easy in nba and growing pains happen and yup I guess it means like kick him while he's down. Give the guy a break he hasnt even looked all that bad mind you this guy has just had HEART surgery. Maybe he wasn't that aggressive before but now imagine getting a procedure done that could've killed him. Be patient. The way he has played makes me excited to see him when rondo comes back. Expecting to much from a team that has led almost every game to lose by 12 or more in the forth. Obvious signs of tanking
