If losses are going to determine how good DA looks good, then by the end of the season he's going to look hotter than Mila Kunis.

Williams' ankles seem to be in worse condition than Curry's. The Nets need him to be fit to operate effectively.

Still gotta hope for ATL losses, but ya, Danny got a kings ransom for aging stars

I honestly didn't think we could get that kind of load even 3 years ago.  DA is so smart.  he waits until someone reeks of desperation and then he jumps all over it

Didn't we get the pick this year (lesser of ATL or BKN) clips pick next year, 2017 and 2018 BKN?  something like that.  it was 4 picks for 2 aging stars and a coach (plus having a huge salary dumped on us)

I trust Danny Ainge  (said in an overly confident Bill Walton Voice)
I trust Danny Ainge

And there would be much rejoicing.

If the season ended today, the pick we receive from Brooklyn would be the 20th pick in the draft.  I was anticipating the pick to be 25-30, so I would be thrilled if this holds.

Is that after you factor in the ATL swap?

I see.

Considering Ainge seems to be at least average if not better at evaluating late-first talent, I can take an additional pick in the 20's.

We get Brooklyn's pick in 2016-2018 (we swap picks in 2017).  Given how poorly Deron looks to be aging and how much money is tied up in him and Joe Johnson, we could be looking at a lot of ping pong balls those years.  Those two alone are scheduled to make nearly $46 million in the 2015-2016 season alone.  They have almost no more draft picks to trade, and no cap room to sign free agents.  It could be really tough for that team to do anything for a few years to fix it.  Danny cleaned them out (along with the hawks, who get to swap picks with them this year and next).

My question really here is, did Danny orchestrate the deal or Billy King is just, well, not that good?

If this goes on, and by some stroke of luck ATL also falters, and with the way we are losing, we are looking at a top 10 and a top 16 pick? LarBrd33 is right, losing can be a tough pill to swallow, but that's one very bright side.

Billy King traded the pick that became Damian Lillard, for Gerald Wallace.

Case closed.
