Nets are terrible...Let's get KG and PP back.

So I am watching the Nets play, and you can already tell that their window has shut and was boarded up. Kidd is awful and absolutely does nothing, and the defense which was suppose to improve drastically is also quite appalling. So I start thinking to myself, there's going to be a firesale. Why Keep $190 million in salary when you are going nowhere.
This brings me to my ultimate point. Why don't the Celtics trade low for PP and KG? Aside from nostalgia, I am a realist and know that they are not going to make much of a difference to our team's hopes. However it would be an amazing sight to see KG and PP play on a nightly basis, and ride off in the sunlight at the end of the season. In the end, I think the experience would only help our player development, it won't hurt or help our draft destiny, allow us to get rid of some unsightly contracts, and allow us to watch my captain and anchor retire is GREEN.

Like Lucky said…because of the CBA and truth be told, I think that ship has sailed.

Looks like DA made the right decision by moving on to get younger and more athletic.

The one thing that bothers me however.

During the offseason, I felt the likes of Monta Ellis and/or Mo Williams would've been nice pick-ups for the Celtics.

Not many agreed with me on this site.

Looks like both guys are doing really well and contributing a lot to their respective teams.

PP and KG would make the c's an old, un-athletic 8-seed. one and done in the playoffs. that's probably the worst place to be in this league, especially in the best draft in 10 years. we'll be closer to a title following the path we're on now than by getting guys who arent good enough to take us over the hump.

I'd gladly welcome pierce back in 6th man role but expect kg to retire after this season

Not even considering the CBA rule Lucky brought up, how terrible would it look to Nets fans if they traded away their future for KG and PP and then traded them right back to us for even less? Nets management is smarter than that.

I think the nets struggling shows what Rajon Rondo can do for a team. He made Pierce and KG look like 5 years younger when they were with the C's, granted they are a year older now, but PP shed some weight, and we all know KG is always in shape.

PP and KG last year averaged 18ppg and 14ppg points.
Now they are averaging 13ppg for PP and 7ppg for KG

Oh welp, if they blow it up, I wouldn't mind KG and PP back next year with the C's with much lower salaries and lesser roles.

The nets aren't half way trying , the old guys won't turn it or play hard til they need to.    All the nets need to do is stay healthy and make the playoffs.

It's the beginning,  and all ready thy are being held out of games.


If Lopez is healthy ...they make a deep run .....without Lopez inside offense they aren't so good .
