Looked like he was aiming for the ball and missed.  Still a dumb move.

With his knee at this height... what did he expect the result to be? ;D

Haha. He'll have a tough time explaining that one to the league office...

I'm delighted to see Chris Paul on the receiving end of a cheap shot for a change.  Good job Tony!

CP3 really sold the contact on that karate kick to the face.

Trick or Treat indeed.

I think the really ridiculous part of that play was that CP tried to get up a shot like it would be a continuation.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Meh, got faked he ate it and extended his leg... just about everyone does it (that's how most kick balls occur in games).

Also the angle of the camera doesn't show Tony trying to spin away as to not hit CP3.

Whatever.

Love Tony Allen

Chris Paul is a regular season stud though. Would be fun to see him playing in mid May sometime in his career

If D Wade did that they'd call the foul on the other guy for initiating contact with his face

Chalk this up to the fact that TA is an idiot and doesn't think before he acts. It shows in his criminal issues in the past. It shows in his play on the basketball court. I do not think that TA decided he was going to kick CP3 in the face and then did it. I think he got beat and just kicked his leg out at him. How he kept following through higher and higher and ended up connecting with his face is anyone's guess, but it isn't likely that this was his intention. To say that it didn't warrant an ejection is ridiculous though. Intent has nothing to do with it.

Please... If you were driving down the lane and all of a sudden someone kicked out at your face you'd be doing the same thing. He reacted out of instinct.
