The Twolves are shopping Derrick Williams and Shved actively AND as far as I read in their thread last night, are in love with BBass.

Could someone elaborate on this for me, please? I'd not heard anything as far as Minnesota interest in Bass.

I was left with that impression by the comments in their thread last night like:

"After tonight's game I am convinced Brandon Bass would do wonders for our team
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=lbyj2zs

DWill, Shved, Cunningham out Bass/Lee in=WCF

scoring out of the post spot on the bench would be so so so helpful"
"Brandon Bass is not a guy you build around
however I agree about his awesomeness"
"this is shockingly correct
Bass is an nice player but clearly he is not a starting point. That said, I doubt Boston falls for this trade- regardless of what website Voodoo uses."

"We do so many defensive drills in practice, I come home and I'm putting the press on my woman, denying her the ball.
Y'all are laughing, but it's sad. I go home and deny the wing."

I still don't understand, I'm afraid. What do you mean by "their thread"? Is this a message board for Wolves' fans?

Hyperbole aside ("DWill, Shved, Cunningham out Bass/Lee in=WCF"), it's nice that fans might appreciate what Bass can bring, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the Wolves' front office does.

Probably the game thread on SBN's T-Wolves' site.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

I like this trade a lot. I doubt Minnesota does it, but if you are Boston you have to.

Derrick is a young kid, he hasn't lived up to his draft position but has potential as a player and as a trade chip.

Shved is a great talent, he showed last year and in Europe. He's looking pretty bad this year, but he's playing less than 9 minutes per game. He still has potential and his contract is highly tradeable.

Dieng is a big on a cheap contract, he's tall and he could become a solid backup. A good asset to have.

Of course the Cs would be giving up the best two players in the trade, but getting 3 prospects and saving 3rd year money from Lee's contract is the right thing to do at this point. And the Celtics would cut 2M from the cap, too. Not bad.

This is the first trade idea on here that's realistic and makes sense.

I like it. Shved is having a slow start, but he was pretty good last year.

We get a young pf/sf in Williams, and a potential defensive stopper in Deing.
