So? He's already had two 7-block games this season, and an 11-block game last season. He's pretty good that way.

Yeah, I mean I guess if he were on the Celtics, it would be noteworthy, but he is kind of a block machine...no surprises here.

Tbh, the 26/8 line from Sullinger seems more deserving of its own thread. Is he really ready to take it to the next level. Lately he has certainly been on an upward trajectory.

Hibbert is definitely getting the benefit of the doubt on the verticality rule.

It goes back to what JVG said about his Knicks teams-- you foul all five guys on every possession, and soon you're able to get away with things that the other teams don't have the leeway to.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

For me, this conversation is a non-starter until he shows that he can keep his PF per 36 at a reasonable level. So far we've gone from 6+ last season to close to 4 this season. I guess that qualifies as progress.

Hibbert entering the very elite players in the league discussion.  Very impressed with him so far this year and thinking over his whole career.  Didn't think he'd be anything more than a decent center back when he came in.  Definitely didn't see him as a defensive force.

His block numbers every game are great;

7 5 2 7 5 2 2 5 8 3

Not my phone number. Just Hibberts blocks each game this season.
