Holy cow, are we set!  With some experience & chemistry, the return of Rondo for a full season, and the replacement on the roster of the expiring Hump with the $10M TPE from the trade, we're looking to be quite the team in 14-15, even without a major trade.  Might even be better off not making one unless it's a slam, top-5 type player, trade-for-KG-type deal.

Assuming, of course, we can add a $10M free agent that is a real impact player.

Best off, with Hump & Bogans expiring, we don't have to give up anybody to use the TPE and stay under the lux tax.
Where should that $10M player, presumably a starter, start?  Alternately, which starter sits?  Also, does that impact who else starts?

If we get a top 5 pick, I agree

Add a top 3,pick and we are set

Have a floor general, top 20 player with rondo
Have a legit starting pf with sully
Green is a good 3rd option
Bradley can be a stud sg defemder off the bench
KO is a good 6th man you can run the offense through on the 2nd team

I don't see Danny paying Bradley a lot of money I think he gets traded in the deadline or Sign and trade. I like the other pieces you could add Fav to the list he could be a solid starter.

it all depends on what Danny does with his cap flexibility and trade chips - we COULD have a nice team next year even if we didn't get a top draft pick

or we could get a top 5 pick and still be terrible

it all depends on what Danny does over the next year or so

The main thing is if we get a stud (Wiggins,Parker or Randle) is I don't want Danny to feel the pressure of having to build a contending team right away and overpay for FA. He needs to take his time and build smartly.

good point about not feeling compelled to rush the rebuild but next year does present some opportunities that would be a shame to waste with that trade exception and with Hump, Bogans, Brooks and Crawford possibly leaving.  That said, those same players make for nice trade chips at the deadline since they're essentially all expiring deals for another team to consider now.

If C's get a top 8 pick, there's a good chance that player is potentially good enough to make all-star games based on the depth of talent.  not to ignore the other pick from either the Nets or Hawks which should be somewhere in the mid-teens (and be a quality player)

Rondo, quality FA, top pick to go with good role players Green, Sully, KO, Fav and possibly AB.  Lee, Bass and Wallace are a year closer to expiring deals and have looked better than last year--they might actually be tradable before they're on their last year of their respective deals.

I do think the trade exception is a huge asset for a sign and trade in the offseason.

His Miami games are great ;)  It's the ones where he is missing that annoy me.

I plan to be loaded often enough for the rest of our '13-'14 games to even think about next season yet.
