Im a believer in best available if we got Parker AND Wiggins and they're both studs we could trade Wiggins for an allstar or vice versa. Besides we are loaded at PF anyways.

Definitely not Marcus Smart.... He's not even the best combo guard in the draft and there are at least 5 better prospects. Wiggins, Randle, Parker, Exum, and Embiid will get picked before him

5 people were picked before Damian Lillard when people like you said the same thing during 2012.

What happens on the re-draft ?  Does Lillard still go 6th ?

We don't know whose the best combo guard in the draft until they lace them up.

That's tough but one of the picks is definitely Wiggins.  Wiggins just has so many tools that you can't teach.  He is an athletic freak of nature, I think Lebron is the only guy that is in his class in terms of just athleticism.  I lean towards Parker because he is so skilled and  he play multiple positions....

Nbadraft.net has Wiggins #1, Parker #2 and Randle #3.

I'd be happy with Wiggins and Randle.

Draftexpress.com has Wiggins #1, Randle #2, Exum #3 and Parker #4.

I'm gonna trust experts on this and say I'd take Wiggins first despite the fact that a couple casual fans are "unimpressed" by Wiggins averaging 20 points on 58% shooting over his first two college games.  Tough crowd.

Somewhat amusing that two current thread topics are "if you had the top 2 picks in the draft" and "if you controlled 10 trillion dollars". Maybe next week we'll have "what if Obamacare was as good as the Dems claimed it would be" or "what if the political parties worked together", or maybe something really outlandish like "what if Westbrook was smart enough to shoot less often and pass the ball to Durant more?".

I'd happily take Wiggins and Randle

Then trade Jeff Green for Omer Asik

Rondo-Bradley-Wiggins-Randle-Asik + Sullinger = fun

The hybrid of Penny Hardaway and Westbrook is a super cool/intriguing talent
any of the big 3 would fit nicely alongside them

From what I hear, Atlanta gets Brooklyn's pick if Brooklyn does worse then Atlanta. So the best we can do is 2 and 3.

Unless there is some weird rule that says that its a top 10 protected when it comes to Atlanta, but we get it no matter what. I only wonder that because it keeps being talked about being unprotected.

But even 2 and 3 would just be fine. With that being said I'd go with Parker, and take a shot with Joel Embiid.

I believe the best the celtics could do is 1 and 3.  One being the celtics' own, two being brooklyn's pick taken by Atlanta, and three being atlanta's pick to the celtics.

So, numbers 1 and 3 still not bad.  :)

The first two threads may be more plausible than the final one.

Look at all the bad high draft picks we've seen that the "experts" were high on. Most people that are less trusting of those experts than you are have good reason.

The only players I've really ever seen experts drool over as much as Wiggins are Yao Ming, LeBron James, Greg Oden and Kevin Durant.

Injuries stopped Oden.  Yao was a fine player.  Durant and James were spot on.  I have no doubt Wiggins will be a superstar in the NBA.  Scouts are pretty good at spotting transcendent players early on.

It's good to see the two of us arguing about who we should take #1, though.  It's great to see you getting into the tanking spirit, Tim.  Welcome to the party.

If we draft past 5 i like these three players

Gordon - forward- intense competitor, athlete, skills can be refined

Harris - guard-  high iq combo guard. Great shooter. Not elite but capable at drive and finsh and defending

Mcgary - c - hustle , energetic , physical, wide body center. Underrated iq and refining skills
