He's a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing beast. He's the best passing big man in the league. He's manly as Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. and doesn't back down from fights. He would toughen KO the Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. up. He would work perfectly with Rondo. He can hit spot up jumpers, and will help with floor spacing tremendously.

And, more importantly of all, the 76's have already said they're trying to move him by the trade deadline. They are still going to desperately tank think year. What can we give them for Hawes? He's #7 on the blocks list right now and he's 9th on rebounds. He's athletic, he's strong, and he has a great offensive game. He'a averaging 16 points a game right now as well, and has a PER of 20.64. I would gladly trade a first round pick and whatever else we can for him. With Rondo, Him, our 1st round pick from this year, and Green, we would have a contending team.

It does seem like he's breaking out, doesn't it?

We have yet to strike gold on a breakout player recently, probably because we haven't been getting lottery picks.

I'm guessing with the current state of affairs (Evan Turner breaking out as well, MCW looking like a star), they might actually play it out rather than shop Hawes actively.

As always, in Ainge I trust.

He's an incredibly solid player. Ainge would be a not fool to offer him at least close to a max contract. We need a top 10 center to have any shot at a title.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
He's actually terrible. He's complete garbage. His footwork is terrible, he has zero inside strength. A 36 year old KG literally destroyed him every time they played.
He can't defend inside and he can't score over length or against any solid NBA starting big man defense.
Guy is classic trade bait.

He really is a awfully bad basketball player.
Danny wouldn't touch this guy with a 10 foot pole.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

He isn't great. Dude can pass pretty well, is an okay shooter but seems weak and clumsy down low. He cannot be utilized in the low post due to the great combo of bad footwork and weakness. He gets a couple of blocks but I would no way say he is a good defender down low. Dude is alright, but not top 10 in the league.

Dwight, Hibbert, Noah, Lopez, Duncan, Vucevic, Demarcus, Anthony Davis, Chandler, Pekovic, Big Al, Al Horford, both Gasol's are all better than him.

He has a good three-point shot for a center, but he's not gong to be shooting 48.6% for the entire season.  He has bumped up his number of attempts so he is taking more threes per game than any Celtic so far this season.

Hawes did this a couple of years ago and looked like he was ready to have a breakout season but then fell off completely after the first month or so.

I would wait awhile and see if he can hold this up.
