Rondo update from Ainge...Mid December return at earliest. Preaching 'caution'.

I'm wondering if this means he'll be back in January.  If he makes his return on say the 20th of December, you'd assume he will be day to day + limited minutes through january and into All Star break.

At least we'll increase our chances of a top 6 pick.

The second half of the season should be enough time to see this.  At least Bradley is playing SG now, and has been playing much better of late.

I'd say he's had enough time. Most likely scenario is that he doesn't match the offers Bradley gets. If he does match, its going to be for 6th man type money. I doubt he sees Bradley as a championship csliber starting 2 guard.

this team is just below 50% mark, our 4 game win streak included a win over Miami. This team can continue to grow without Rondo.

Rondo is already a proven player, so until he comes back, we can develop some players.

So if he gets 10-15 minutes a game and builds his way up I'd say we won't get a starting caliber Rondo until February/All Star break at theearliest. Ainge is just so FOS when it comes to this stuff- I can definitely see him keeping Rondo out longer than needed Iin a 'rebuilding' year...particularly if he doesn't have any interest coming into the trade deadline-or if he decides to keep Rondo.
