Not mad per say, but I find his antics silly.

Antics?  It's not like he interrupted Sportscenter on a dirtbike and started shouting out his all-time pickup game team.  Dude was asked a question, and he answered it.

And to those of you that don't want to hear from Michael Jordan, here is a news flash:  MJ is almost universally considered the greatest basketball player of all time.  People are going be asking him questions for a long, long time.  If you don't want to hear it, I'd suggest getting a condo on the moon.

And is it really that far-fetched to think that maybe he is just going by the players that he actually played with or against?

The ability for people on the internet to pout about everything will never cease to amaze me.

Almost universally?  Maybe by people who started watching basketball during Jordan's era.

We'll never know how Jordan could've been because the rules didn't apply to him.

Doesn't matter. Just a has-been trying to keep himself relevant.

Surprised he didn't pick Kwame Brown.

So what. Who cares if Bird isn't on his team. This is his own personal team he would have for a Pick-Up game. Non issue. I'm pretty sure Bird doesn't care either.

No biggie. .....he IS MJ and entitled to his opinion.   As he gets older and then senile ....it will get worse ......

We Celtic fans know the TRUTH ....

Jordan doesn't want Bird on his team because if it comes down to the last play, he knows Larry would walk into the huddle and say "Gimme the ball and get out of my way"...and some of the other players on the team would probably agree with Larry.

Man this guy runs his mouth like crazy smh

Lol are you really getting mad cause he didn't put Bird? Smh

Not really. MJ ignoring Bird is what you'd expect, as Bird's Celtics ruined MJ's young career. Jordan only got to win when the 80s big teams got old or injured (Pistons, Celtics, Lakers, Sixers, Rockets...), so it's not that strange that MJ doesn't want Bird around him.

What's outrageous is MJ leaving Bill, Wilt and Kareem also. Come on, be respectful to the history of the game... it's just as stupid as when LeBron chose number 6 because number 23 should be retired because of the greatness of MJ ::) But nobody should be mad at MJ, we all know he's an idiot.

No what's outrageous is that you are getting offended on MJ answering a question about his personal team. It's his team not YOURS he can have whoever he wants just like how you can have whoever you want even if it's Scalabrine, etc.

Ok, maybe "outrageous" is too hyperbolic, and I am not really mad, I couldn't care less about what that idiot has to say. But it's fun to discuss, right?

My team, just because you asked, would mop the floor with Jordan's team:

Stockton
LeBron
Bird
Russell
Chamberlain

TP, right on this post and the first one you wrote here. I remember how refs helped the guy get away with his pushing off defenders and his non fouls all night... LeBron reminds me a lot of him, maybe that's why I can't like the guy.

i'm surprised michael didn't mention david stern as being one of his best teammates. if i were stern i'd be a bit annoyed that jordan continued to give me so little credit.

1. Magic

I know, I hate the Lakers too. But he is, beyond dispute, the greatest point guard of all time.

2. Jordan

Duh.

3. Lebron

This one hurt. Obviously Bird is just behind him on my list, but let's face it: barring major career-ending injury, Lebron is going to finish when it's all said and done with more rings, more individual awards, and probably more records. I've got to give the edge to Lebron.

4. Duncan

This one hurt too, since KG is right behind Duncan. At his absolute peak, I would argue that KG was better than Duncan. However, Duncan overcomes this through sheer consistency over his entire career.

5. Kareem

All of you people putting Wilt should be ashamed of yourselves. First of all, Bill Russell was better than Wilt and I'm not going to let some stat-stuffing shenanigans by Wilt convince me otherwise. Wilt won 2 championhips, ladies and gentlemen. Just two. And Bill Simmons has completely destroyed the myth that "Russell's teams were loaded while Wilt was carrying his team". That's BS, Wilt actually played with more all-stars. Wilt couldn't win because he didn't play team basketball.

At any rate, as great as even Bill Russell was, Kareem was even better and for that measure the best center of all time. I almost forgot to mention Shaq, who is somewhere up in that category but nowhere near Kareem territory.

Russell
Dream
Bird
Dr J
Rondo

We don't need Jordan hogging the ball.  Rondo will have those guys scoring more efficiently than MJ and those dumb Lakers put together.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale
