I mean...is this a good thing?  Yea, we're winning and winning is good and all but if we're not good enough to contend (which I know we aren't), then I don't know if we should be cheating ourselves out of what could be a great long term plan.

With that said, I am loving Brad Stevens.  He is godsend...

I always said when I left the Celtics, I could not go to heaven, because that would
be a step down. I am pure 100 percent Celtic. I think if you slashed my wrists, my
blood would’ve been green.  -  Bill "Greatest of All Time" Russell

You mean like the great plans that got us Tim Duncan and Kevin Durant? Oh, wait...

I love it, I love watching the crew play hard and win. Even if they lose, it's fun to root for a team that plays hard with energy than a team that is purposely losing to get a high draft pick!

Brad Steven looks like he can control egos as well. Calm and ambitious, I LOVE IT

If we play hard and lose and be in the lottery, that's fine, I can live with that

From what I'm seeing from this team, everyone is busting their behinds for loose balls, and working hard.

If these toddlers keep putting up games like this... yes, you can be excited.  There's hope in either direction... either we bottom out and land a superstar prospect or Oly/Sully surprise everyone by being far better prospects than anyone expected.

Games like these do wonders for everyone's trade value.   I'd still prefer we bottom out this year and THEN see the kids play this well, but this is a lot of fun.

If it was Wallace, Humph and Bass carrying this team, I'd feel different about things.  That would be a bummer... just some "meh" vets keeping the team competitive.  But since it is a bunch of children contributing to the wins, it's kind of awesome.  It gives you hope for the future.

If Sully wants to keep putting up 20 and 10 (per 36 minutes) nightly and Oly keeps having games like tonight (16 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists 7-9 shooting)... I'm sure as heck not going to complain.

This team needs more work...a lot actually to play a a half court game at a grind it out pace the veteran teams will demand from us.     .....we actually beat the Heat at their own fast pace game...they are getting older now ...lol

The deliberate slow paced games are going to be tuff .

Not really, we could've used it to trade for Kevin Garnett without having to give up Gerald Green.

I don't know if we should be cheating ourselves out of what could be a great long term plan.

You should be excited that the Celtics could have a great long-term plan that allows for trading a stash of draft picks and expiring contracts to add a legitimate star who might be good enough to turn a fringe playoff team into a legitimate contender, with extra draft picks down the line to offer a shot at reloading with young talent.

:o

that's the last thing I'd ever expecting coming from you.  glad to see you getting behind the team.

We didn't want to keep Green, for crying out loud, it was Ryan Gomes.

I still think this is a lottery team but what has me excited about the future is Brad Stevens, DA took a chance and I think it's going to pay big dividends...

I'm very excited about this team.  I'm going to keep rooting for this team to "prove the doubters wrong," in the words of Jordan Crawford.

I recommend rooting for the team to win, and getting excited when they do, for all Celtics fans.  I can only imagine that rooting for losses and ping pong balls starts to feel kind of icky.

DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Just curious at what point will you realize we are not a lottery team?
