Oh my, and even with a 34 to 12 Free Throw Attempts advantage.  That's right fellas, I had to look twice.  34 Free Throw Attempts for Miami against only 12 for the Cs.

If it wasn't because of the FT disparity, who knows....the embarrassment would have been worse ;D

and if we had Doc we would have lost, and he would have blamed the refs.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Give Stevens, three years in the league. Then, send him back in a time machine to 2010 Game 7 in LA, where Doc blamed the infamous loss on the free throw disparity ala 'blaming the biased refs' technique.

And lo and behold, strangely enough, that Q4 Laker's rally falls apart, when Fisher misses a contested 3 ... the Celts dig in, and win the finals, 79-74.

I thought they played lazy and looked uninspired.  I also thought they thought they could yoy with us like a cat toying with a mouse.  They got burnt.

The refs were horrible on the replays you could see our guys never touched them on some of their fouls.  LeBron and Birdman are downright floppers.

I know Wade is a bad shooter, but how do you miss the rim by that much?  Maybe he got some of that dirt in his eye?
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Yeah right, LeBron did everything he could to try and win that game.  As soon as Crawford proved he could still do things in LeBron's face at the end of the 1st, he looked like a man on a mission.

I don't see it that way.  To paraphrase Coach Stevens, "It was just one loss."

The Celtics have often been guilty of underestimating opponents, and that is what I believe happened.  However it does show a chink in the Heat's armor...they are not willing to put maximum effort into every game (whether by preparation or execution does not matter) and that shows a little sense of entitlement.

It was a good win for the Celtics (although again, Coach Steven's said "It was just one win.")  It showed that the Celtics are starting to play as a team, to trust each other's game,  and to be willing to put in the effort and not give up until the final buzzer.  Since we are now a younger team, I am not going to say "despite being the second road game in back to back games"....whoops!   ;) Good Signs.  And it was the kind of win we fans needed to give us hope and quell the tanking talk.

On a personal note, I have not stopped grinning since last night, and my jaw and cheeks are really hurting!

That's the same thing I said, Mia regularly toys with teams in the first half but when they come out for 3rd Q the story is different! They lost against the 6ers but they came back from 20+ and the 6ers barely hung on. Thing is, we came out and had the same energy, we stayed with them even though you could see that Wade and Lebron tried to turn it on, Wade in the 3rd and Lebron the 4th. Not only that, this was a home game, darn near impossible to beat them there lately! No one is going to convince me they weren't putting in the effort in the second half!

People keep saying we played no defense but how does Mia only score 110 points shooting 34fts 58%fg and a high 3pt%? They only had like 5 fast break points! I know you see the stats and say we defended terribly but watch the game, we didn't do as badly as they suggest!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

In the end it was two of those free throws that gave us the chance to win the game, though :)

please stop blaming Doc, he had his fair share of buzzer beater plays as a coach.

Though I must admit, this is all Wade's fault

Not on D I saw him play lazy and back off numerous times must not wanted to get posterized as much as he has earlier in the season.

Since Lebron s first title......he now coasts though the first three quarters.....playing at 1/2 speed .....doing just enough for his team to stay in striking distance .  Then all,of a sudden he pays like its an emergency , erases a 10 point or so lead by the opponents......takes over an d wins the game .

I watched nearly every regular game last season.......he doesn't try till about the end of the third or last quarter.......maddening
