OK, so first let me say that I am not fully endorsing this idea. But I am bored and have been playing around with the trade machine (and stealing ideas from other threads), and I wanted to create a scenario where Danny completed the blow up to truly start from scratch on this team. The idea of this, is by sending the veterans to teams that may want to win now. Here is what I came up with:
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=k72tk4z Boston gets: Turkoglu (cut him before January to save $6 million), Ariza (expiring), Porter, Vesely, Harkless, Moore, 2014 Orlando first rounder, 2014 first rounder (lower of Denvers or NYK...this belongs to Orlando)
Washington gets: Jeff Green, Brandon Bass
Orlando gets: Rondo, Wallace, Danny Granger, Crawford
Indy gets: Afflalo and Nelson
Why for Indy? They get a PG who can step in and score on a much more consistent basis, and could really put them over the top in the playoffs, and a really good all-around SG to add depth at the wing spot.
Why for Orlando? They already have two young players to build around in Vucevic and Oladipo. Now they can surround them with some really good veterans in Rondo and Granger who compliment them well, as well as taking a flyer on Wallace. This makes them a real contender in the playoffs this year.
Why for Washington? They want to win now too, and Green is a great fit for what they want to do, and has DC roots, while Bass gives them some really good depth at PF, which they need with Nene always a questionmark.
Why for Boston? You clear the deck, and add two nice young players in Porter and Harkless, while getting two more first rounders in the loaded 2014 draft (they would both likely be mid first rounders). Suddenly Danny would be working with a TON of cap space, and a ton of assets. He also could turn around and trade some of their expiring contracts and draft picks right away if he wanted to.
Ultimately, this is not really a slam dunk from anyones point of view, but maybe there are parts of it that could make sense for each team.
