....after a win, am I suppose to be excited or disappointed?

Usually, I get excited after a win but I know this year it's all about the lottery and personally if we are going to be bad, I'd rather we get THE number 1 pick and not the consolation prize (as in any pick after number 1.)

However, just when you think you're the worse team in the NBA team, think again. There's the Utah Jazz (and probably a couple other teams we haven't seen yet.)

So is this good or bad? I am losing track of what's good and what's bad this season.

Tank for Wiggins? No problem, Adam Silver will do something about that lottery ball behind closed doors!

Being the absolute worst doesn't guarantee the #1 pick. I guess for you, be happy when they lose and happy when they win.

Think about it this way:

Our team is probably not going to win many games. The fact that we'll probably end up with a high draft pick in a great draft is a nice consolation for losses.

But obviously we want the team to win on a day-to-day basis.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Say no to tanking..

We do not have the ideal roster to compete.

But I'd rather this team fight every game, than concede immediately.

A high draft pick is a nice consideration, but I'd rather the new look C's build a culture of playing to win.

So be happy with the wins we get, We won't get a lot of them this year.

Nice, so we can't go wrong either way.

That's how I look at. With the way they've been playing, I prepare for a loss so when they win it's a bonus.

Just enjoy the games and don't worry too much about outcomes this season.

If we lose, we lose.

But we don't celebrate losing, we don't encourage sucking, even if it's just for a season, or even if it's "better for the long run".

As constructed we are not championship contenders, and it's acceptable that the season is not going to be great.

But we reward great effort. That team, even though it's against the Jazz, played hard and went to work. Let's not disrespect them by saying that they are better of losing, or cheer that they lost.

Lol...reminds me of the t-shirt you see being sold outside the Garden and Fenway. Win or lose, we still booze.

What you want to see is improvement in the young guys and more cohesion the team.  If they win, they win.  If they lose, they lose.  But the ultimate end game is developing the young guys into assets.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

This year, be excited this team plays hard every night which we haven't seen since the 2009 season.

Also take heart that the team with the worst record has only one the lottery 3 times (based on what someone else researched in another thread last night) so not having the worst record but just having a very bad record will seemingly give better results in the lottery
