It's ridiculous that he would go to the media to complain about not starting before talking to the coach.
It's ridiculous to be talking to the media so much, period.

Yup.

At this point Danny should start to seriously consider sending Wallace and two first round picks to whoever will take him for an expiring contract.

The last thing a new coach needs is a disgruntled vet in the ear of impressionable young players. And given he has three years on his contract, he could kill a good young player's outlook on the league and the franchise in that time.

Don't need him. Pay the price and dump him.

Two first round picks is wayyyyyyy too much just to dump a guy.

Worst case scenario, they send him home and tell him to stay there until they can work out a buyout.

In my mind wallace crossed that invisible line.  Great talking to media getting guys to play harder.  We heard you the first TWO times.  Now just play.  You'd think he'd be smart enough to know that he is hurting his chances of being moved.  At this point in his career he is a quality backup on a very good team.  His contract is going to make a trade tough, he might just be in boston until his contract becomes expiring.
I like him AND bradley off the bench.  think it makes the team better

Wallace should just be happy that he makes $10 million to shoot 27% from the line and more TOs than ASTS

Right, just send him home ala Jamal Tinsley rather than spending picks to dump his contract like that.

If you're spending assets to shed his contract you better have some big plans for that cap space/financial room.

I agree with tommy heinson who said he likes wallace as a 6th man coming off the bench,I like wallace but  sometimes he looks a little out of control though and makes bad passes and turnovers. But i love his hustle and hard play, thats why i like him as a 6th man also as he brings instant energy, and agrresive play.

Yup.

I don't think he is going out of his way to vent to the media. If the media asked him a question, I like that he answers it thoughtfully and honestly. Too many people in sports answer with the same boring 110 % answers.

Does he want to be a bench player? No. Is he willing to embrace it? Yes.

Non issue.

Of course there is a point where his voice could be destructive. There is only so much honesty a young bad team can take.

Yeah, except he wasn't exactly giving the media one-syllable answers. I would have had no problem with this, but Wallace seems to take his sweet time to run his mouth.

“I wouldn’t say not happy, I’d just say kind of confused,” said Wallace. “It’s the first time since I was traded to Portland (in Feb. of 2011) and came off the bench two or three games for them that I’ve actually come off the bench. I was trying to figure it out; it’s a new experience for me.”

Really? Did Wallace completely forget about last year with the Nets, where he was a deep bench guy? Does he really think he's a bonafide NBA starter at this stage in his career? This guy sounds more delusional everyday. Well, I guess he could argue that he never really came off the bench in Brooklyn, he just sat on it the whole time.

Isn't Wallace in our 5-best players list?  Do we have 5 guys better?  Hardly.

We're better with him on the floor.  It sucks that our roster is so unbalanced and other guys need to play.  It's like watching a 4th grade game when the hot hand and better players get taken out.

Because, of course, it isn't about winning.

better than Wallace at this stage?

Sullinger
Olynyk
Green
Bass
Faverani
Lee
Bradley

so I would say he's our 8th best player for now, 9th best when Rondo returns

Eh, any quotes I have read or watched don't sound too verbose or outrageous. He's been a starter for a number of years in the NBA. Until Rondo returns, Wallace is probably the 3rd best player on the team behind Green and Bass. He should expect to start.

And the ball movement in the 4th quarter of every game has been terrible. Lots of hero ball out there. He's just speaking the truth.

Quote
Wallace said he isn't accustomed to coming off the bench.

"I don’t know. This is the first time for me. I never came off the bench, other than about three years in Sacramento, where they were garbage minutes," he said. "I’ve always been a starter. I worked my tail off in the league to become a starter. It’s something that’s new to me. I approach the role the same way I did as a starter, and see what I can do from there."

Wallace has been outspoken since arriving in Boston and he appears unsure of the team's plan considering the Celtics are in a rebuilding mode.

"I’m just trying to make sense of everything. I’m trying to figure out what’s really going on and go from there," he said. "I don’t have a clue. I don’t know what’s going on. My thing is, when I’m on the court, I compete to win. And when I’m not, it’s just cheer my guys on and hopefully we’ll get a win tonight."

Wallace said he won't approach Stevens about the change.

"I’m done talking. Whatever they say, it’s their team," he said. "They can do whatever they want to do. (I’m just) going to come out and compete hard and try to win."

How about just put him on the block.

Of course we should get the best return, but just put him there. Call all teams and see what they would be willing to give for him, then take the best offer.

I'd try to trade him to the Bucks with two 2nd rounders for Caron Butler as a start.
