I live in western Mass so I get espn radio out of albany and hear a lot of NY sports news.

This was killing me a few minutes ago they where talking about the Tyson Chandler injury and how bad Bargnani will be at center. Ok I agree, then came a whole crap load of stupid.

Over the next five minutes they went back and forth putting together a plan where the Knicks trade for Omer Asik. They concede that they will prob have to give up Tim Hardaway and there second round pick this year. The think this is tough but the fact that Asik is pretty young and will be a good backup for chandler makes it worth while! Its not like they dont at least have access to stats they went on to say how Asik was a double double guy last year.

I mean really? These guys get paid to talk about sports. How can they be serious. Unless they think they have a 21 yr old Tim hardaway sr. they must be nuts. They also said a few times that they don't know how the salary cap would work. You work for ESPN its call trade checker....

Yeah...that stuff makes me annoyed too. Not that I want every on-air guy to tell me the ins and outs of Hollis Thompson's burgeoning young game, but I would love it if they could just for a second try to think about this stuff before they say it.

It seems like the biggest thing you sacrifice when you become a daily-present sports personality is the free time and emotional effort required to fully explore your opinions before you're expected to give them.

I'd assume that amplifies considerably when you're working for "the worldwide leader in sports."
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Sounds like they're doing the thing where they're only thinking about the deal from their team's perspective and are completely oblivious to what the other side might value or be able to get elsewhere.

Anybody who plays fantasy basketball knows the type.  Or who hangs out in the trade forum here, for that matter.
