Guys are being showcased. As DoS said, playing Humphries is neither here nor there- he's going either way and we will possibly take back some bad salary in a Rondo trade for a lottery pick or some kind of young stud.
If Rondo goes, Danny might try and ship Wallace out with him...but there's not too much point. Just hold onto him for 2 more years while we rebuild then deal him as an expiring when the time comes.
Danny knows that you need superstars and multiple top 10-20 players to win a championship. He's trying to prepare us as well as possible for a big move and if that fails then he'll shoot for the draft. All this losing is actually a win-win. We either trade for a star with our lottery pick and some mediocre guys or we draft Wiggins or Parker etc..Danny's collecting cubic zerconias for the treasure chest and hoping to make them look as much like actual diamonds as possible.
All these stiffs will have some kind of trade value. Take Vitor for example- he's looking like a tougher poor man's Nenad Krstic. He'll be worth a late first round pick at some stage this season- he'd also sweeten a deal for a lottery pick for Rondo as a backup big man for someone like Cousins.
All these little pieces make the big moves easier because you can offer more perceived value.

We've been built to lose, our coach has been told to take his time- he's got 7 years for god's sake. Stevens and Ainge want a good crop of 3 or 4 draft picks to develop from the start- like OKC did with Durant, Westbrook, Harden, Green and Ibaka.
