That six-year contract from the Celts affords Brad Stevens more security and leeway than pretty much any coach on the NBA map not named Popovich. Yet it still has to be a culture shock to be staring at the first three-game losing streak he's lived through since December 2011 back at Butler.

Starting off the season right, imo.   If we keep this up, we are GUARANTEED a Top 4 pick in a draft with at least 5 guys I'd be comfortable building a team around.

only thing i am worried about is the talk of rondo coming back before xmas, the c's should hold him out till late jan early feb and only allow him to play till the trade deadline, then wean off his minutes.

even with a healthy rondo they'll still suck bad, but no need to risk anything

On another note hope ppl realize the 14 class is freshman heavy, it will take them a few years to become really good, so this thing is gonna take a long time.

As I started reading down this list from the top, I saw Orlando, and Philadelphia and I suddenly thought...'Oh man, we're gonna be last.'

Seeing that #30 register...it hurt. And not like...hurt so good. It hurt so bad.

Your 3 games in.  This couldn't of hurt you that bad if you've followed the direction of the team for the last year.

We'll win some games.  I doubt we finish dead last... especially if Rondo comes back.  But I figure we're a lock for a Top 8 pick this season.   Draftexpress currently has Jabari Parker going #7.  It's a good season to be finishing at the bottom of the standings.

KG and Pierce were traded 4 months ago.  I've had 4 months to get use to this.  We're practically half of the way through this tank job.  There's light at the end of the tunnel.

I would hold Rondo out til lat january too .

Even if he comes back before that, say xmas time, there is no way danny is going to allow stevens to play him more than 25 mins a night for the first month of his recovery.

Add to that, the c's haven't even had injuries yet, just wait til bradley goes down with a sprained ankle, our defense would be so bad. Or if wallace's feet start botherin him again

I think this team is aa lock for a top 5 pick, more likely top 3

I for one and extremely happy, and don't let anyone tell you, you are a bad fan for wanting them to lose as much as possible this year. I wanna see the young guys develop and be competeiive, but keep losing close games boys!

Not sure what people expected but you take the two best players off the roster and replace them with role players, what did you expect? they won 41 games with a full season of KG and PP.  Take them off with an injured Rondo and that is a 20 win swing? I know people had high hopes of them fighting for a playoff spot but the reality of this team is that they can't score or play defense? Even with a healthy Rondo this team would have been hard pressed to win 30 games never mind that he is coming off a major knee reconstruction.  Biting the bullet for one year is worth it if you land cornerstone player, which this draft has a handful of....

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I think Celtics nation should be pleased. Through the first three games, we have been competitive, yet outmatched. Anybody thinking we might have been able to make some noise in the playoffs should realize now that it is an off year.

While I am not a 'pro-tanker', the realist in me understands that if we are not going to be a very competitive team, then acquiring a top 5 pick in a great draft would be pretty ideal.

I can't say that I am rooting against the Celtics, but if they are playing well and building experience / value and still losing, then I can't really be too upset. It's only one season folks...
