I think the following trade makes a bit of sense for both teams, thoughts?

Boozer, Hinrich

for

Green, Bass, Lee, and Crawford

Boston sheds a year from Green and Lee in the form of Boozer (who is better than them), picks up a veteran PG in Hinrich, and sheds about 3 million and 2 roster spots from the team.  Boozer, while a significant upgrade down-low, isn't going to win a lot of games for the team this, but is good enough that him and Rondo with the high draft pick and young guy development could make Boston pretty good next year.  Hinrich is the veteran PG the team needs to help with the overall growth of the team.  Boozer also has a similar game to Sullinger and could be a decent mentor for him (you know if you could get him to buy in).

Chicago gets some much needed depth and gets a potential replacement for Deng should he leave this summer.

So post-trade and pre-Rondo Boston would basically start Hinrich, Bradley, Wallace, Boozer, and Vitor with Sully, Olynyk, Brooks and Bogan being the main rotation.  That also still leaves Humphries expiring contract available for trade and 2 empty roster spots to work with (so Boston could take a flyer on a guy like Kendall Marshall).
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Not a bad idea. I like it because we can use Boozer at the 5, clear up some of our forward and SG log jam by dealing Green, Bass, Lee and Crawford.

Also, we definitely need another point guard, hence getting Hinrich.

I actually really like the sound of this starting five

PG-Rondo/Hinrich
SG-Bradley/Brooks
SF-Wallace
PF-Humphries
C-Boozer/Faverani.

Better than what we have now.

It seems like the Bulls are taking a lot of mediocrity onto their team.

Going with a big two of D-Rose and J-Noah with J.Green as a third option? It doesn't sound appetizing. Sounds like they'd be taking a big step backwards.

They still have Deng and Butler has been stepping up. Plus it opens up more time for Gibson.

It's an intriguing trade but, like Who mentioned before, I don't think Chicago is doing this.

Green wouldn't be their third option.  He's not better than Deng and wouldn't start over him anyway.  I also think Taj Gibson's a better overall player.

Boozer has his warts but he's also their second most capable scorer and tied with Noah for best rebounder.  Chicago is capable of winning now and they're not going to give up Boozer for four backups, none of whom might even average 20 minutes.

Boozer is old, not that good, and we have a million and one PFs. Because 6'9 Carlos Boozer is definitely not a center.

Good. I thought I was the only one who hated this for Boston.

I don't see how it's possible not to hate it. Boozer will be 32 years old in three weeks. He does nothing for your team right now (we're not one piece away), he does nothing for your team in the future (having Green under team control is better than having his salary slot open, blame the cap), and wasn't really skilled enough to be a first option on a winning team even in his prime.

we're not doing a trade that helps us in the short-term.  Improving this team this year is counterproductive to all the work Danny did to tank this season.

Boozer seems like a pretty important piece for the Bulls, especially with Rose still getting back to full speed.

I don't see the appeal of this trade for the Bulls, honestly.

Chicago ownership is cheap as dirt. They're not taking on all that long term money.

We better send Humphries + Lee (or Bogans if Courtney can't rebuild his trade value) for Boozer and the Charlotte 2014 first rounder the Bulls own. The Bulls start Gibson, have Humphries as a good to great backup big, and get some flexibility to resign their young pieces. Bulls fans are calling for amnesty on Boozer... so taking him off their hands deserves some compensation. The Celtics would cut 1.7M on salaries, so they could gain some room for signing cheap rejects.

Boozer's contract is terrible, but becomes a great piece for trading next season until the deadline. The Bulls are trying to win and keep their young core, the Cs can afford to suck now and cash in next year.

Green will stay in green, and Bass+Crawesome can get you something good, hopefully a pick and another 2-year bad contract, i.e. Kendrick Perkins.

Sorry, but no chance in heck Chicago includes the Charlotte pick in that deal.

This is the correct analysis this season and next are about rebuilding, sorting though the players,  training the coach , allow him time to learn NBA while DA rebuilds   ..........we want lots of young talent , to keep upgrading , trading , ......

No way  does DA screw up this seasons draft picks or next either.

We are testing values of Nets garbage , and training  Kelly and Sully for the future.

This the plan.......yes if you season tickets and  expect wins it's going to suck.

I'm not sure a trade for Boozer makes sense unless the Celtics send Sullinger to Chicago and get back the protected 2014 Charlotte pick and maybe another future first, with negotiation over who else to send to Chicago to fill out the Bulls bench and match salaries.
