Sixers coach Brett Brown is looking like quite the hire. Apparently, coaching the Celtics was his dream job.

Quote
Brett Brown, a Portland, Maine, native who played basketball at Boston University and grew up as a diehard Celtics fan, is "extremely" interested in becoming the Celtics' new head coach

http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/celtics/extras/celtics_blog/2013/06/source_san_antonio_assistant_brett_brown_interested_in_celti.html

lol exactly what i was thinking.

Danny likely didn't want a guy he could potentially butt heads with and went for a younger coach instead.

Could end of being a mistake. We will see

;D....... We ll take him if MCWILLIAMS  is part of the deal.

How fortunes change in the NBA

When Durant leaves okc.   ,  they will suck too.

OKC looks like they're ready to fall apart. As I've made my predictions in the offseason, the top 3 teams in the West belongs to Houston, Golden State, and LA Clippers.

When Westbrook returns, they should look better.

I just wish the Celtics were playing this hard every night.

They have been playing hard. Just no random, unexpected breakout.

Edit: breakouts*. Seems the entire starting lineup has broken out out of nowhere.

Carter Williams has been awesome.  It's amazing how difficult it is to predict how well some players will perform in the NBA until the actual games start.  This guy was supposed to be hit or miss- a lot of experts thought he had star potential but he also had big time flop potential.  And he wasn't supposed to be able to shoot.  He looks like a star at this point.

Two games in and Philly is living the tried-to-flop-but-our-young-guys-are-just-too-good dream.

The equivalent would require Stevens having started Pressey, KO and Fav and having them all be competitive for ROY right out of the gait.

Bulls are clearly trying to tank.

-Boozer stat padding with 22 pts and 10 rebounds.

-Thibs mismanaged his rotations and clearly has lost his team.  20 point comeback losses should NEVER happen to any professional basketball sports team, especially against a team that is supposed to be among the worst in the NBA.

-Noah is disappointed in his team that Philly played harder than they did. He should keep his mouth shut and address this solely with his team and not the media.  This also reflects Thibs' inability to control his players.

-Gar Forman's major offseason move included picking up Dunleavy for outside shooting.  Not working out.  He should have kept Nate Robinson.  Obviously he has set his team up to fail.  Also his incompetence as a GM has warranted his dismissal from the organization, preferably immediately.

-After 3 games, the Bulls are now 1-2 and not even among the top 8 seeds.  A true disappointment for a team some picked to dethrone the Heat and represent the Eastern Conference in the finals.

The only answer now is for the Bulls to join the quest for Wiggins.  Bulls fans now realize that competing is futile and have accepted this difficult - although intriguing - truth.

Noah is right, Thibodeau is not an NBA coach, and Rose is poison.

Every rose has its thorn.  And with Derrick Rose, it's a poisonous thorn.

The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Holy cow MCW looks good. Just a couple games, but great. Makes me think if we get great return for Rondo, maybe do it, effective point guards are just growing on trees.
It's reason to hang onto Avery Bradley.  I think long-term he'll be a solid "point-guard stopper".  You'd just have to let the ball flow through a superstar like Wiggins.

That said... MCW is like 6'6... Bradley is probably too small to contain a guy like that if he keeps it up.
