We are clearly going to be terrible this year and it seems like Philly won't be as bad as us so that's another team out of the wiggins lottery. Let's say Faveroni continues to play as well as he has played. Danny better take advantage of this and let's say trade him in a package with Gerald Wallace and maybe a draft pick to a contending team for a expiring. I'd even say maybe add Avery as we'll to the trade and say we Give them a 2nd or a future pick for their 1st? Maybe a second. I'm sure teams will start to inquire about faveroni and Avery Bradley. Especially contending teams.

Thoughts?

No, the Celtics are not going to trade Faverani, Bradley and picks in a salary dump. Horrible trade for us.

The way Vitor has played, if we trade him for just salary dump I'd be disappointed. That's a bad trade.

With that in mind, the way Avery is playing, if we trade him for just salary dump, maybe let's ask for a little sweetener. I mean he's still a very good one on one defender.

It's like those trade ideas involving Rondo to "help" us get rid of Wallace.

In my opinion, there isn't right or wrong in managing a basketball team 60, 70, 80% of the time.

That's why even though I hate tanking, I wouldn't argue against it (although it does tend to get on my nerves the way some rub it in my face).

But trying to "get rid of Wallace" at this point in time by packaging valuable assets - when cap space is absolutely meaningless, when you want to keep as many prospects as possible, when you aren't looking to sign a free agent, when you aren't looking to win a championship any time soon this season - I'm pretty is wrong.

This is not to mention that Wallace has shown that he still has quite a bit of value as a vet, as a leader and as a basketball player. Even if you think of him as nothing but washed up player with a bad contract, I just don't agree with doing this.

So... 2 games into the season and the #tankforwiggins Sixers are supposedly out of the running. hahaha, sure

Remember when the Bobcats had a 7-5 record last season?  Or how the Magic had a 12-13 record?  How'd that turn out for them?

I'm saying to add vitor with Wallace for picks or an expiring? Do you guys really think vitor is a championship piece to our team in 2years from now? Cmon. I'm thinking big picture not "WE SHOULDNT TANK WE HAVE TALENT FIGHT WITH THE GUYS WE HAVE" .

Nonsense

There's no need to panic... Celtics are in no hurry to unload any salary, and that's why they dumped Fab to get under the luxury threshold.

If you're going to send a young cheap player away, it's because you're getting a better piece back, not for salary dumping purposes. Wallace and Lee's contracts are bad, but Gerald and Courtney aren't bad players, if they don't bring value back you don't need to send them for pennies. Bass is showing his value, so he (and Crawesome) will probably be the first to find a home away from the Garden. And you still have expirings like Humphries, Bogans and Brooks who will be very valuable by the trade deadline or just by letting them go.

Ainge has a lot of pieces and he doesn't need to sell low. He will get good value off every trade. In Danny we Trust.
