  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
I'm going to keep my fingers crossed, and hope we get Exum or Parker. Or trade Sullinger and someone else for Randle... Sigh.... It hurts my soul to watch us suck and tank on purpose, but oh well.

It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen
Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

His name is Rondo.  His name is Rondo.  Jesus.

Wiggins isn't good enough to turn us around. Not that we will get him anyway. We'll get the number 5 pingpong ball knowing our luck.

DA said you contend you need a least one top five player.......I think he is right .......how else will a top five player come here unless we draft him

To keep Rondo......we need Wiggins

25  percent chance is better than no chance

The bold was my thought. With the C's luck they won't even get the number 1 pick to get Wiggins.
Also I didn't think they would blatantly tank but I knew from the start with this roster, a rookie coach, and no Rondo that they weren't gonna be good.

Trading 2 of your 3 best players for a couple of bench guys, scrubs and picks are gonna result in a lot of losses.

Exiting training camp with a plan to rely on Avery Bradley as your point guard is going to result in even more losses.

These are smart moves when your lone All star is out indefinitely in a loaded draft year. Perfect storm for tanking without looking like you are tanking from game to game.

I dont think the celtics are going to throw games (this could change depending on rondo's status, and the standings much later in the season). Instead the celtics have put together a roster that will lose a lot of games because they aren't good enough to close.

Celtics apparently need to learn some lessons on tanking from the 76'ers.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I'm not sure that we're ranking so much as that we're terrible.

Danny Ainge sucks. If he just surrounded KG/Pierce with better talent, than we could be kicking Miami's ass right now instead of losing to the lowly Bucks.

I want this team to compete and try to win every night. Try to make the Playoffs. If the definition is mediocre of making the Playoffs but not win the title, then I'd rather have that. Being there will build character and experience. Our team will be hungrier, therefore will work harder to get over the hump.

Besides, we have a ton of assets and a very good GM. I trust him to get us out of mediocrity even without a top 5 pick, as log as we have a squad that competes and tries to win every night.

But if what we are going to do though is ON PURPOSELY suck and throw away whatever pride we have left, the I'm going to be ashamed of this team.

I get the part that we are not good enough to win, but that's not tanking, that's the side effect of rebuilding. We lose but we we always try to win, just not good enough. I'm hoping this is what "tanking" means. I can accept this

But if the suggestion of tanking is to on purposely lose, and embracing and encouraging it, then that's disgraceful and disrespectful to the game, and the legends of this team, and to us fans.

Yeah....it's hard not to think that way for sure......but it's done now ......can 't go back

We really need a top lottery pick .  Or just lay at the bottom of the pile for evermore and get trampled on ......beat like little red headed step child

I pray they can win ONE game without Rondos assistance ..... :'(

Yup.......it's an automatic tank.....no elite talent
