When asked about LeBron's comments about KG and Pierce, Doc said the following:

Paul and Kevin were traded. They were traded. Paul was traded whether he wanted to be or not. Kevin was the only one who had to agree to be traded even though he had already been traded. He had to agree to the trade. That's completely different. You could make more of a case for me leaving than on Paul and Kevin.

Doc is right, another case of men vs boys. You made the decision, right or wrong, take ownership of that and stop pointing fingers and being hypocrites

Good on him.

I know Doc leaving the Celtics had a lot to do with DA's plans to trade Pierce and KG - I just don't think Doc could handle coaching Boston without those guys around.  Had they still been here I have no doubt he would have stayed, rebuild or not.

I respect that fact that he still sticks by those guys, even when they are on another team.

I'm not gonna harbor anymore resentment towards Doc. I won't think of him as glowingly as I might have a few years back but I do appreciate his willingness to always stand up for Pierce and KG even now. The two situations are completely different, it was a mutual decision which you can't say about the Ray Allen fiasco as we offered him a lot more money but he had just grown to hate the celtics team.

Doc is a G. I miss his swag.

Personally I think this young dude Stevens is in over hhs head ... I like our long term commitment to him. I think it's a good investment. Short term however... a guy like Wallace won't care. He will do what he wants bc he's paid.

This year and probably next year will Suck!!!

Huh??  Doc didn't start this....  He's just answering questions.  You should be saying 'LeBron, please focus on the Heat,' like Garnett did.  LeBron has nothing to do with Celtic business, but Doc obviously does/did and has the right to comment.  Even though Doc, Paul, KG, and Ray aren't on the Celtics, they will always be Celtics, and are allowed to set the record straight about their time in Boston.  If one of them starts commenting on Olynyk or Humphries you can say, 'Doc, please coach the Clippers,' but the things those 4 did in Boston are in the history books and will be relevant for the rest of their lives (unlike LeBron).

David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
