I really wish we had seen more of him on the floor.  i just have this flashback of 3 pointers he made and the announcer saying that his strong point was defense.
I don't know if this kid will get a roster spot but i have a hunch.....

SAVE CHRIS BABB, DROP COURTNEY LEE!!!

I think those three pointers he made was a fluke.  Has he made one since that game?  Great effort guy but since the NYC game his shooting has been suspect.

I'd keep him, 6'5" (?) shooting guard good defender who can hit spot up 3's AND seems to be a much better team player than brooks (for sure) and crawford

I have been thinking Kris Joseph myself.

He play s harder defense than Brooks for sure.

Decent sg height, good defender and quick release 3pt shooter but gives you nothing else much. Doesnt have exceptional quickness/athleticism.

Like a slightly bigger poor man delonte west

West was a good ball handler for a combo guard at least.

Babb is an impressive camp guy, I can't see him sticking around.

What I saw from Babb, poor man's Delonte West is actually a good description. Also when it comes to ball handling. But poor man's Delonte shouldn't be enough, while Delonte has to play in China.

I wouldn't mind seeing Chris Babb get the last roster spot on this team.  I was at the Knicks game in Providence, and as far as I'm concerned, he earned that spot based on his play in that game alone.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Given the likelyhood that Danny is going to be trading this season I don't think using a roster spot on Babb is a wise choice.

I disagree that it was completely a fluke.  I watched a lot of ISU games last year.  He hit a lot of 3's and hit quite a few at clutch times to help Iowa State.  He was def a clutch shooter.

Now you can argue how well college 3 point shooting transfers to the NBA, but his form is good, and he looks comfortable taking 3s.

His fg% for the preseason is 6/12 50%, his 3pt fg% is 4/9 44%.

Another thing that def effects player is his really limited  playing time.  It is really hard for most players to come off the bench cold and hit 3's at a good rate.

Here are his minute totals from the 8 games
1st game - 0 min
2nd game - 8 min
3rd game - 1 min
4th game - 8 min
5th game - 0 min
6th game - 10 min
7th game - 3 min
8th game - 0 min

I hope he sticks around.  I like that he can play good d on the larger 2 guards, and that he is another 3 point threat.  I am way more comfortable with most of the 3's that he takes versus crawford or brooks who just jack them up whenever.

Give him a chance on a partially guaranteed contract.  If we have to cut him at some point to accommodate a trade of some kind, then so be it.  But, for now, I see no reason to not let the kid start the season as a Boston Celtic.

I'd rather see him go to Maine and if we are going to give anyone some extra PT, make it Brooks so somehow he might be able to salvage some trade value.

Even a partially guaranteed deal costs the C's money and space that could be needed for a trade.

Remember the C's are very constrained by the luxury tax as well.
