It shocks, annoys, and disappoints me that people actually post threads asking whether I would root more for the Nets than the Celtics this year.

I am a Boston Celtics fan.  Not a Brooklyn Nets fan.  We had Piece, Garnett, and Terry.  Now we have Rondo, Green, and Sullinger.

I am actually very pumped for those Celtics/Nets games this year because I can't wait for our guys to kick their arses!

I'm rooting for the Nets just like I've always quasi-rooted for the Blazers, Rockets, and Thunder. IE, if they're not playing the Celtics, I follow their games and hope they win. I assume other people do the same.

What's wrong with that?

If you see even one Brooklyn Nets reference in this video I'll start rooting for the Nets over the Celts.

Well nothing really, though it is frustrating hearing people suggest rooting more for the Nets than the Celtics this year.  Makes me upset.

Personally I think KG is a mole and this Russian billionaire is going down.

He's gonna destroy that team and right before he leaves he's gonna say "Did you really think I was gonna take your dirty money and give you a ring? Did you really think I'd do that"?

He's going to do just enough to knock of the Heat. Then he's done.

LOL. "As the Nets won game 6 and guaranteed themselves a trip to the Finals by beating the Miami Heat, Kevin Garnett tore off his jersey to reveal a 'Boston Strong' t-shirt that rumor has it hasn't been washed since his last game as a Boston Celtic. He looked at LeBron James with hate in his eyes and stalked off the floor. "My job is done, I'm going home," he mumbled to press row."

Believe it or not some people actually just love the game of basketball, and watching a quality team makes it more enjoyable.

I am a Celtics fan, but for example i also followed the Phoenix Suns for several years during the Nash/Amare era, especially in 2009-2010 when they got to the conference finals. Why miss out on watching a contending team and enjoy the ride if you know your team has ZERO chance of winning that year?

They have two of my favorite players in the league on their team, you betcha im rooting for them as long as the Celtics don't have a shot at the championship.

I absolutely, 100%, all in, all the time am rooting for the Brooklyn Nets, unless they are playing the Celtics.

And I'm about as fanatic a Celtics fan as you'll ever find.

But I would love nothing more than the Nets to crush the Heat in this year's playoffs - and I mean ugly. And I'd like it to be a little nasty as well, from KG, Evans, Pierce and Lopez. Just a little physical as payback for Wade's shot on Rondo a few years back.

The Heat have benefited by not having to go through any legitimately tough teams in the east since LeBron and Bosh landed there - except a banged up and again Celtics team which they could barely get by.

So yes, a Nets team, lead by two of my all time favorite Celtics - hopefully staying healthy and just sticking up those arrogant front running prick's backsides? You bet I'm pulling for the Nets this year.

I want them to have home court if possible.
I'd like to see a sweep or a 4-1, 4-2 result, at worst.
I'd like it to be ugly and I'd like to see Evans lay Lebron and Wade out a few times as well.

Just ugly...

All that being said, if the Nets are playing the Celtics, they become the Northeastern version of the Heat.

Also, I'd really, really like to see KG and Pierce raise another banner together.

Because of some consistently bad injury luck after the 2008 season in Boston, they missed a few opportunities to do it in Bean town. And there was "no way" it would've been possible for them to do it this year in Boston.

They were given a gift by being traded and so was new Jersey.

KG and Pierce are two of the true class act legends playing the game today.

Root for the Nets
Root for KG and Pierce to raise another ring together.

Lots of Pierce and Garnett jersey's at Preseason game in Prov. so would not expect the fans to drop them overnight. They did not leave us, we traded them - can't blame fans for wishing them the best and rooting for them to win another ring together.

Not like Deron Williams and Joe Johnson are chumps like Lebron and Wade. Nets are easy to cheer for right now. Anyone but Miami or LA

read this:  http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--red-auerbach-s-daughter--celtics-patriarch-wouldn-t-have-traded-paul-pierce--kevin-garnett-210041571.html

Danny's slimy treatment of PP and KG was shocking and disappointing to me, a 50+ year Celtic fan.  In my opinion, and Red's daughter's, the treatment of PP (more a true Celtic than anyone in the current organization) was not what the Celtic's organization stands for and I am still angry enough that I have trouble watching the crap result.  I hope to get over it some day but may have to wait until Danny Ainge is fired.
