So it has been a solid 10 years now since Wyc and company took over our Celtics. I'm curious how people grade this group? Is there anyone who doesn't like them? If so, why?

B+ - A

3 Eastern Conference Finals appearance - 2 wins
2 NBA Finals appearance - 1 championship

hiring Danny Ainge

I'd say, they did a pretty good job in that 10 year span. From 2007/2008 - 2012/2013 - we were highly competitive.

A+
this team was a joke from 93 till shortly after Wyc and co took over. no joke since.

i think a fan can nitpick over details and moves made/ not made but overall this ownership turned the team around in a major way.

have to give them an A. they have a chance to get extra credit for getting a 15% share of CSN NE in there last TV deal, since that does not count towards shared revenue, but they haven't had a chance to spend extra yet.

Incomplete.

I would not get carried away because of one championship (call me greedy, that's fine.)

I'd much rather answer this question after ownership has come and gone to grade their complete body of work.

They seem passionate about the team yet they let their GM run the show.   To me that is the kind of owner you want.  I don't want a Daniel Snyder type.

They're the reason I think this rebuild won't completely suck and take forever.

Celtic4ever are you referring to the Redskins Name situation? By all accounts Mr. Snyder has been a model owner. By you PC scale we should be changing the Celtic Name because it insults Irish People? I could see that some red headed, drunk, burley, soccer thug, could get p---ed! Maybe we should replace the Leprechaun Logo with a Unicorn? But that would offend horses! Wouldn't want a stampede, would we?

how did you get the Redskins name issue from his post. I do not think he was talking about the name, but about Snyder's meddling ways as an owner. As a Redskins fan I think Snyder's position on the name is the best thing he has done so far for the Skins. As far as running the team, he is a meddling owner who for a long time refused to let the pros run the team. It has been a disastrous run for the Redskins since he bought the team.

I think that's a ridiculous comparison. Celtic is not a slander, it's a description of a group of people, a name loosely applied to the Irish, but a name that means considerably more than that in a historical context.

Redskin is a racial slur, or was. Nobody says it now, but there was a time.

It would be more like calling a team Black Irish I think, but even then, I think the comparison is thin and pretty useless. More like calling a team the NYC Wops, or the Minnesota Pollocks. Outdated? Sure. But still it is what it is.

Regarding Celtics ownership, I don't think we could do much better .

The Irish equivalent would be something like the Micks or perhaps the Paddys, though I'm not sure it really rises the same level.

"Redskins" is a term that is pretty much on its face racially tinged and othering.

It's also not merey historical in its relevance.  Let's remember that there are Native American people who still exist all over the country and there are scores of them who have spoken out and said that they find the term Redskin offensive and that it (or some obvious variation) has been used against them and their families in a derogatory manner throughout their lives.

Anyways, on topic:

The current ownership group is great.  That's perhaps the biggest reason to feel optimistic about the future for the C's.
