i honestly think he got jordan crawford to help us tank.
he'll be starting.
I want you and the OP to think about what you're saying. Danny had the worst player in the league with Jason Collins. How does trading him for Jordan Crawford lose more games? (or trading Fab Melo for that matter)
Erm it's pretty simple actually. Collins is a defensive specialist who can block up the paint and defend elite big men like Howard- putting him out there isn't going to affect the win/loss comlumn because Collins' weaknesses/strengths are generally a wash.
Crawford is a chucker with a terrible FG % who demands a high % of the ball to score any points at all.
By gaining Crawford we have a guy who will put up a high number of shots relevant to his efficiency. He takes good shots away from Jeff Green and Avery Bradley and takes those shots himself...whilst making a lower % of them, thus making our team less efficient, thus losing us more games.
Think of it like Russell Westbrook taking shots away from Durant- you want your better, consistent shooters taking the majority of the shots- it's the entire reason the Wizards got rid of him because his shot selection is poor and although he'll catch fire every once in a while and might win you a game- he's more likely to lose you more games because he requires too much ball usage and your best players are losing opprtunities to score.
