Just tuning into Sully's media day interview and he looks super bloated. Something I expected given he's recovering from injury, but man.

Is it just me?

Apparently he's still got long ways to go until he's fully recovered.

He said he wasn't close to being where he was physically before his back injury.

That's what happens after surgeries unfortunately. Especially ones that prevent pretty much all work outs for a long period of time. Your back is necessary for any motion you do.

I'm not any more worried about it due to those photos.

He's always going to be a big fella - that's just the body type he appears to have.  Weight will be a career-long battle for him, and it will be worse around periods of forced inactivity.

I expect him to play his way into shape.  Hopefully that happens in camp, rather than halfway through the season a la Rasheed.

If we had a championship team I'd be a little concerned. But we don't and so I can forgive him not being it the best shape after what he's been through. I expect hi to look much better later in the season.
Peace through Tyranny

The answer is yes but it's not as easy as that. From everyone I have heard speak about from inside the organization, they said he works extremely hard, so I have no worries.

here is a little thing from today from him

It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

He is bound to be out of shape with all thats been going on in is life.

He seems healthy which is the most important fact.

The celtics are in the unique position to let their injured get better , without playoff expectations this year anyway.

Going from bad to worse by letting the injured get heathy ,  only solidifies the lottery pick
Higher the better.

Gonna be a really really ugly season.   I'm ready though...

Or Oliver Miller size

LOL - loved watching Sweetney play for us in training camp & pre-season!  Glad, of course, it was just for pre-season!   That kid could put the ball in the hoop as well as anyone.  Great hands and used that big body.  Awesome under the post.

He just couldn't get down the court on defense.   The ball would already be coming back on the next possession by the time he reached mid-court!
NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.
