Its been almost four months since Terrence Williams was charged.

It is now that the cases and the judge clearly dismissed it on the legal grounds of it being clear self defense.

http://www.kiviatlaw.com/blog

The attorney writes on the first page of the blog.

"On September 7, 2013, the King County Prosecutors Office declined to file any criminal charges against Terrence Williams for an incident that was alleged to have occurred on May 19, 2013.

Terrence feels grateful for the diligent and thorough investigation that the King County Prosecutors Office and the Kent Police Department conducted in this matter.

Terrence was confident from the beginning that he had acted in self-defense, and is vindicated in knowing that law enforcement felt the same way after reviewing all of the evidence presented to them.

Terrence looks forward to moving on with his life and focusing his energy on his career and family."

I'm finally glad the charges were dismissed, and I honestly had no doubt T-Will was innocent or defending himself.

I don't defend his actions at all, but from his perspective growing up and experiencing the issues that most of us haven't dealt with; we can't really assume things.

---

Now with Rajon Rondo now going to be out till December, its a coin flip between who will be succeeding or playing in that position.

With the charges dismissed, I know its wishful thinking, but I hope we decide to pick up Terrence Williams. People can say what you want about T-Will, but once his confidence grew, his ability to run the point, play solid defense, and best of all have the lowest assist to turn over ratio in the playoffs really seemed to kick in.

Plus T-Will has good chemistry with the bench players, and had gotten along with most of the players on the team.

Please pick up T-Will. At this point it won't hurt, and who knows? He may shine, and become a great sixth or back up PG.

Good for T-Will, and also for anyone who didn't pre-judge him.

I think we're donesauce with him, though; probably can't fit him without going into the tax.

One clarification: a judge didn't dismiss the case. Rather, the DA declined to prosecute.

I'm happy for Terrence.  I wish him well for the future, in basketball and in life.

I wish him the best..I know it was hard for him and he was heavily prejudged...Good luck in the future though. Now we have to see what's going to happen to Sully.

So, wait...  He wouldn't have acted any differently in hindsight?  Despite his acknowledgement that the entire situation caused his son pain?

This is why a lot of people (including me) think Williams is a punk.  The fact that he thinks he did the right thing pulling a gun out in front of his son, rather than staying in his car and driving off, is thug-think.

I may be mistaken, but I thought TWill said he didn't pull a gun out he showed it in his waistband or something like that because he was about to get jumped. In that tweet I think he's talking about "his" pain.

Williams was in his car at the time when he indicated that he felt threatened.  He got out of his car, and brandished / flashed / whatever his gun in front of his son.  I'm sure that's what caused the look on his son's face.

Williams should have just driven off.  The fact that he feels justified in his actions, and wouldn't have changed anything, says a lot about him as a human being.  There apparently wasn't proof to convict him, but the fact that he pulled out / flashed a gun in front of his 10 year old son is contemptible.

(What separates this from the Sullinger case, in my mind, is that none of us has any idea what happened in Sully's situation.  It's an allegation.  Here, Williams admits to pulling / showing the gun, he admits he was in his car when he felt "threatened", and he admits his son was there.  Now, he's apparently admitted that his son was upset.  And yet, he has no remorse, and would gladly repeat it.)

Well I'm not about to get deep in this and just say I wasn't there to know the entire situation. I wish him well with his future.

Wow, Roy!

It almost seems like you have a personal beef with Terrence Williams.  I don't think you know enough about the case to come to the kind of conclusions that you've come to about who Terrence Williams is as a person.

I can't say that I understand your rush to judgment on this.  Weren't you the one who was comparing another poster to a member of a "lynch mob" for his rush to judgment in the Sullinger thread?

Not trying to stifle your creativity or anything, but, unfortunately, this is how false rumors take on a life of their own in today's age.

"Wow, did you hear that Terrence Williams pulled up Gansta style with a million dollars worth of bling around his neck, pumping out some music about killing people, got out and pointed a gun at his baby's mama and her innocent boyfriend who is just a regular guy trying to make a living as a roofer."

Keep sipping, and keep your imagination flowing, but I think it's kind of irresponsible to just make up really damaging and inaccurate stuff about another human being.
