Not for the Rockets, for the C's certainly.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
The problem is what if Bradley does perform past said expectations? What if he scores 12-16 PPG, 1.8 SPG, 2.3 APG, and has solid defense enough to warrant him 1st defense All Team? Then he's going to at least ask for more than 5 million per year, and even though we'll have some cap space to move around it'll hurt us more once Rondo's contract expires.

I think we should lock him up for cheap, since he won't ask for a higher contract. Then once we do, look to maybe convince Rondo not to ask for a max deal.

He's still young to a point even if we didn't want him next year after the contract, then he's easily movable for at least a decent draft pick, or a younger prospect with potential. Every team needs a defensive stalwart.
I don't think paying him $5 million over 4 years is, in any form, locking him up for "cheap".

Eh, I think if he was offered 3 million for 3 year, AB would take it.

I just don't want to wait till the end of this year, and if he does blossom, then we'll have to shell out big bucks. Even if he doesn't perform up to expectations, some team requiring either a strong defensive role player, or sixth man off the bench, or even a Tony Allen type of player to guard SG's/PG's would be willing to pick him up.

I w DOS...got me there....but WADE hated the way Twill covered him...that has to be worth something.....for those that saw it....I did. Twill is a slasher...not much chance to see him shoot, as he was a bench rider.....not a ray allen shooter....but look, BBD developed a shot, ANYONE at that level can become a solid shooter....if they put in the work.....AB was best when RONDO was there....twill never had that chance...yet...!
let's move on from T-Will.  it's long past the point where he should now be called  T-Won't

Yup. He looked utterly clueless when he was out on the court. Going back to Bradley, if the Celts could get a decent player, I could actually consider trading him.

From a personal standpoint, I feel bad saying so because his mom just passed and the last thing I am sure he needs is to move to a new city.

BUT, from purely a basketball standpoint, I think he could net you a decent player and I wouldn't sign him to a long-term extension.

Good player, but overrated.

If you're rebuilding you don't sign role players to long term deals.

I think you could probably have stopped here.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I got the impression thta 3 year for $9 mill was lower than what he's looking for.  I could very well be wrong about that.  to me, that would be fair money based on what he's produced so far.  little offense, good D (was very good D until Felton destroyed him in the playoffs) and several injuries.

I would have...but I didn't know Bradley was going to pull this...and this is the position twill plays..and he is on NO charges....unlike sullinger may be.....twill did the job..perhaps better..IF he got to run with rondo..which he did not...YET..!

you must have missed the game versus Miami when he gave wade and lobron so much defensive problems.....esp in his VERY limited playing time.....he was brought in because he had skills...doc didn't play him.big surprise there..doc showed us his game plan....el-ditch-o...!
