I just ran through this list and see some real comedy potential in this. Maybe some of the guys could use their mugshot numbers....sorry, sorry sorry.

I'd really only appreciate it if players had to use nicknames given to them by other players. What would they pick for Kobe, or Delonte West...the mind boggles.

Right. They're just looking for another jersey to sell. 'Doing it for the fans' (money).

If it's only for one game, I don't mind it.  And yes, it's just a way to sell more jerseys. 

I feel bad for the guys without nicknames.  Sure it's easy for "King James" and 'The Truth"  but not everyone has a well  known nickname.  They are gonna feel like losers.

it seems like a really silly, unprofessional idea that makes the league look like a bit of a joke for a small cash grab. and truly unneccessary; do the players really need to wear them for the nba to sell the jerseys? just print them, let the idiots to buy them, and watch the money pile up. dont make a joke of a marquee game for a couple grand.
