Thanks for posting (TP).

I've always loved GWallace's game...I hope he wants to be in Green.

I still believe he has a lot of basketball left in him.

The Celtics media including the folks who run the front page of this site blow my mind. Nobody has ever said to Doc "Exactly who was the one who came up with the idea of you not being coach? The owner said emphatically that it was you and anyone who says otherwise is flat out wrong, Danny has said much the same. Exactly who started the Circus?"

Doc and the Clips violated tampering rules and everybody in the league knows it but it's a nod and wink. Doc advising the Clips not to include Bledsoe in any deal as per Clip leaks while still not communicating with HIS employer is beyond unreal and the day S.A.S leaked the Clips rumor was very soon after the Celts were eliminated. Hard to believe this just kinda all came together after the Celts season was over.

But nothing on this site ???

I have been wondering about the massive contract named Wallace and finally a poster in the forum does what a writer for this site shoulda done...write a story. This place is a trip. It didn't dawn on any writers who are obviously filling time with mind numbingly boring stuff when this topic seems the obvious one. His contract is huge and he could bring in an attitude that tears down what the other folks are trying to build (Brooks,Hump, etc)

This could have a huge impact...not his salary....his attitude.

Nothing? Nobody? Are the writers mailing stuff in from their ipad on a beach somewhere totally disconnected to the team?

TP for the OP

they better be motivated

for several of these guys , landing  on a lottery team rebuilding ....Could be

is the LAST stop in their careers ,  chance to be big fish in a small pond and stay in the NBA

the. Celtics is the trash can they were tossed into .....if they don't do well here their  paycheck is liable to get really small and put a crimp in there lavish life styles. as they become used car salesmen.

so.....yeah ......if they have any ambition at all and want to eat more than Big Mac meals they all will pick up their game.

I expect nothing less than pure passion and hustle from anybody wearing the green.  Don't put it on unless you plan on making it proud.

I don't know. Even Wallace must realize that if he wants out, the best path to that is playing well and at least pretending he cares.

Otherwise we will be trying to move an unmotivated, disgruntled player who's owed $30m over 3 seasons.

I'm in wait and see mode on this one. Wallace has been a pretty good citizen for most of his career, so he gets the benefit of the doubt from me.

And FYI for others who've asked in this thread, the official story for why Wallace missed the press conference was that he needed to attend his basketball camp in Alabama. Take that for what you will.

I think it would be interesting to write an article about Gerald Wallace if A) he hadn't had a pretty miserable season last year and B) the season was closer.

He's an interesting not-quite reclamation project.

I would also say that those reports about Doc re: Bledsoe were never verified. Don't believe everything you read.

Anyway, Training camp starts in about two weeks. Personally, I won't be worried about Wallace unless he doesn't show then.

I don't know if any of the young guys who have showed up early have a family and kids, but I'm fairly sure that Crash does.  The guy is 30 years old and he has a life back home in Alabama.  I don't begrudge Gerald for wanting to spend this off-season living that life before embarking on the next stage of his career.

I just hope he's staying in shape and shows up to camp with a good attitude.

We haven't heard from Gerald, but I see no indication that we won't see a mentally and physically fit Gerald Wallace in Boston when the time comes for him to report to camp.

TP for posting that.

I've always thought that Gerald Wallace seemed like a good guy.

I have one additional comment, though.  I think the word "underserved" should have a hyphen in it.  My initial reaction was; "What do they mean by undeserved children?"

Yep, could be that he's busy and can't come yet but why hasn't he said one word about being here. He can do 3 phone interviews in 30mins. Even the coach doesn't have anything to say other than he is glad to have him. Stevens looked a little thrown trying to make sure he said the right things but look how calm he is when he talks about everyone else... when they ask about anyone else it's like he lights up when describing them (even when he just had phone convos with RR). I never said he was a bad guy. I love him as a player b/c of his motor. I just find it weird that a player of his caliber and pay doesn't have one word out there.

Yea, I remember he missed the conference b/c of a clinic he was holding but it would have been nice if he made a little statement about being a Celtics.

I can't wait to cheer for Crash, I have no doubt he will give it his all!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Man I'm just trying to make a cannibalism joke and you're coming in here with all that realness. ;D

It's pretty standard non-profit speak. A lot of the grants that these kind of foundations solicit "love" free and reduced lunch statistics and things like that.

For the record, I'm a big believer in these sorts of charities, foundations, and organizations.
