I think eventually it will be revealed that in order to return from injury so quickly Kobe traveled to the farthest reaches of Eastern Europe in order to find a reclusive Baron known only as 'Count Dracul', and that his return directly coincided with a sudden spike in missing vagrants. That's what I think.
