Sullinger looked overweight at Summer League and looks even heavier in a recent Pro Am Video:

Can't be good for his back to be carrying extra pounds. Hope he can get his act together fast.

I'm not surprised he put on a little spare tire lying around after back surgery. I also won't be surprised when he loses it when he can amp up his conditioning.

I think your forgetting how much bigger Sully was.

Yeah he's fat, but he was fatter.

Yea MU, Sully has definitely LOST weight!

What kind of act does he need to get together, I have no doubt that the guy is going to do w/e the staff asks him to do. They said that they thought Sully wasn't as hard a worker because of the way he looked but quickly changed their mind while working with him, said he a very hard worker!

If you were expecting him to look excellent after just being cleared to play like 2 weeks ago then you are/were expecting too much!

He already looks better than b4 the injury, now that he can do more, he will get even better.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

He doesn't look fat to me, at least not any more than when he was playing for the team.

I recall it was either reported or he said so himself that he lost weight.

Don't get where you and several of the Celtics fan I've come across are getting that he's overweight.

Looks exactly the way he looked before they shut him down last season. His weight issues predated the surgery.

Yep, he looks like he did at the end of last year. That is good. He kept off his earlier weight and is ready to get in condition with camp. I have high hopesforsully this year. He needs to work on his mis range jump shot. Last year he looked good when shooting but it didn't drop for him.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Right.  There was really no way for him NOT to put on weight, since he wasn't able to workout for so long.  But, now that he is able to workout again, I imagine he is working his butt off (quite literally) to get into shape.

Sully may not be perfect, but one thing he has always been is a hard worker.  Hopefully he can really get in shape soon.

Also, that video may be decieving.  It is hard to see just how big he is, when he is wearing layers like he is there.

He really doesn't look fat to me.

Dude has a big butt.  That's just his body type.

I get that people have different body types, but that goes along with the 'muscle weighs more than fat' and 'he is big-boned' arguments. In my experience, people are generally just fat and this is most likely the case with Jared. In his defense, he has been completely unable to work out - hopefully he will take his conditioning seriously. I really can't wait to see him play this year - love his attitude and his skill-set.

Unless there's a medical condition in play, your shape is typically a function of your calorie intake and exercise regimen. So that whole "just fat" argument is a steaming pile of you know what.

This being said, Sullinger's butt looked just fine at about this time last summer. A draft year does miracles for discipline.

Except Sully is not a dummy like BBD, both on and off the court seemingly.

Baby actually got himself in great shape. He still can't jump for much, but he looks trim and jacked up these days. I'd love for Sullinger to do the same.

To be fair though things like a bigger butt can be attributed to genetics/muscle. I tend to be this way myself and I workout and eat well. Though Im sure he still has a little more weight to lose which im optimistic will happen as he begins to workout with more intensity
