WHY???

He wants someone who was a NBA player on his staff like Lue was with Doc (yea I know Doc played, maybe it has to be a more recent player). Makes sense.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Wouldn't mind it at all ... won a championship here and with the Heat, Gold Medal in the Goodwill Games, valuable playoff experience, and was a mentor and friend to Rondo off the court. I've always loved the guy's attitude and work-ethic ... bring him in!

This is organizational loyalty.  ;D

I like Posey just fine. I think he may have the makings of a really good coach. I would prefer a veteran NBA big man like Olajuwan or even Shaq.

Also in even better news:

Walter McCarty has also met with Stevens about joining his staff.

Per hoopshype and Dickerson's Twitter.

Me too! Big fan of Pose. A much bigger part of the 08 championship team than some may remember.

Posey was a huge part of 08 he played excellent defense did a lot of enforcer work, and had some timely threes. One of my favorites on that team.

I will take him over Walter McCarty.

Posey, with his championship pedigree and tough guy reputation, would be a solid addition tot he coaching staff.  Toine could be a good coach some day, but might be better served spending a few years on the college level, to put a few years between his financial flameout and a team hiring him.
