The Milwaukee Bucks are nearing a four-year, $44 million extension with Larry Sanders.

Sanders will have bonuses that could push the total value to the $48 million range.

Pekovic got a fifth year, and is making $1 more per. But yeah, roughly speaking...

These contracts are making Asik seem like a bargain.

Good job Milwaukee.

Good job Sanders. That's a lot of money to cough for a Dalembert type player

This deal seems about right.  Sanders has quickly become one of the more overrated players in the league, but he is still a very good starting center, and that is what he is being paid as.

definitely a contract based on a projection of his continued growth.  I don't think he's worth it based on his current skill level but I'm sure some GM would have paid him this much.  If Deandre can get paid like this, Sanders sure can.

Overrated? I'm not so sure. I think people are just recognzing talented defensive big men aren't a common commodity. For a guy taken at 15th, I think he's surpassed expectations. Still, no one's calling him a possible All-Star. Yet.

This should hopefully put to rest the Sanders to the Celtics trade ideas.  For this season at least.

They aren't?  I am pretty sure I have heard that thrown around.  And when you are talking $11 million a year, then I think the team must be thinking he is a possible All-Star.  That isn't sure fire All-Star money, but it is generally the going rate for a guy you think could be an All-Star.

That's right now we can all focus on Henson. I'll start...

Humphries and Crawford for Henson and Antetokunmpo

Why for Boston? We get long athletic players to play with KO and Sulley.

Why for Milwaukee?  Well we could try getting them really drunk. Also I know a great hypnotist. Anybody know any embarrassing secrets about the Bucks GM?

In all serious though if were looking for rim protection Ekpe Udoh could be the odd man out and puts up strong advanced stats in limited minutes.

In reality, this contract could make Sanders a more likely target for the C's, than had he not signed.  Now there is the possibility of buyers remorse if he doesn't progress, and the C's trying to jump in on them selling low on him.

Eh, Larry Sanders is rightly regarded as a DPOY-caliber center who is reasonably competent around the basket on offense.  I wouldn't call that overrated.

He's not Dwight Howard, but I could see him playing that Tyson Chandler role for somebody.  Though I doubt it'll be for the Bucks.

I would like to get Henson from them. Basically a clone of sanders. Blocks shots, dunks, has decent range for a shot. Would love to have him at the 5 with Rondo/AB/Green/KO and Sully/Henson
