TRADE

Denver trades Vince Carter, 7.7, 9.7

Orlando trades Martell Webster. 9.10, 10.16

Hm. Its an overpay because this is a 1 year league. But in the real NBA, it'd be legit.

Thanks Commish.

Martell is the guy I have been willing to overpay since last night. Excellent SG/SF who's been very efficient shooting the ball, especially on spot ups. And while they VC and Webster is posting pretty much the same numbers, I like the youth and versatility Martell gives to the Nuggets.

Webster (6'7") and Chandler (6'8") gives us a lot of size on the wings too.

A two-round jump for a guy who went a few picks earlier?
Given the 9th rounders are right next to each other, it amounts to a three round fall to move up 18 spots in the 6th round

Also...

Riah is the next to pick a coach. I know Nick has been making roster selections for him. Will you be be making his coach selection, too?

Should he be skipped for now to let others continue with the coach selection?

It has been moving today after a stagnant weekend and I didn't want to see it stop now considering Nick has been helping Riah.
riah is back and earlier posted he would be making all the rest of his selections

Not to mention Carter > Webster, IMO.

It's an overpay I'd willing to do. Heck, I was offering two 7th's for a 10th and 11th IIRC last night for a chance to land this guy.

I just really like the fit and what he brings. And since he's so versatile, I can plug Webster in the three spot. I don't have to worry about depth in the SF position with Webster in the team.

Defensively? Webster > VC.

They posted the same offensive numbers (Webster is better at 3PT actually). But Webster is younger, can play both wing positions and not have a setback on production. Honestly I'm happy despite the overpay. I trust my drafting judgments enough to find ways to compensate for the overpay. At least I have a team with wings that have size, can stretch the floor because they shoot outside extremely well (atleast the numbers says they do) and can play good to great defense (depending on who you ask).

Washington feels it did pretty well getting Evan Turner at the 6.24 and Spencer Hawes at the 7.1.

Thanks. Good Rondo replacement while he's out. Better back up when he returns.
