Well, since our first option went to MIL, we'll go with the guy that (I think) ron thought was our first option.

Cleveland selects Tony Allen.

His defense will be a big boost alongside Lawson.

Solid
One heck of a defensive core there in Cleveland. Rebounding, defense, scoring balance. I really like it.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
You forgot the trade that landed you Irving in the first place. You sold that thing like a great car salesman.

And I'm not knocking you for it, don't get me wrong.

I traded 2.20, 3.20 for 1.18 and 6.18

What part, exactly, of that trade is uneven?

Uhh, talent of the guys who ended up being those picks? Remember the backlash I got for that?

That would be a talent evaluation issue, not a fairness is pick exchange.

I stand corected.

Yoki, I didn't make the above trade with you. I traded with you:

Bulls Send Kyrie Irving, 4.5, 5.20
Cavs Send: 2.1, 3.1. 5.1

which worked out to be (even though I don't think I made a single one of those picks outside Irving):

Bulls Send: Kyrie Irving, (not picked middling PG), Harrison Barnes
Cavs Send: Tyson Chandler, Derrick Rose, (not picked defensive and 3pt specialist)

Between the CB draft and the DKC, I can't tell you how tired I am of hearing that.

Allen is the only guy on or team who isn't at least above-average offensively. Lawson's a magician, Horford can score from pretty much anywhere inside the 3pt line, and KG's as good as they come with his midrange jumper.

Did you guys know that Synergy ranked Kanter as the 20th best defender in the league last season? He also managed to outscore opposing centers by 6.8 points per 48 minutes.

Boston selects Eric Gordon.

Was wondering when he'd go.  Nice pickup.

This. While defense is obviously the key for the team, offense doesn't automatically become an issue. These guys (besides allen) all are good on the offensive end, and add in some scoring off the bench and this team will be above average on offense

Regular season, no.

Come playoff time, when you run into another good defensive team that does have a player that is an offensive star, you may have issues.

Gross. I don't know what to do when you guys actually like a pick.

Kyrie Irving
Eric Gordon
?
Pau Gasol/Splitter
Kanter/Splitter/Gasol

Alright. I can kind of see this working now. Alright.
