Specifically related to Pierce and KG?  There's nothing I don't miss.
I agree with this sentiment. I read Paul's presser saying that none of them wanted to be part of a rebuild.  I am still not convinced that tearing up the team is going to help my enjoyment...or theirs, either.

After reading through this thread, it makes me laugh that you think these problems will suddenly disappear.  Will there be no hero ball because Pierce is gone?  or will there be no hero.  Will there be no deficits to overcome?  or will there be no deficits that are overcome.  Will there be no injuries with Pierce and Garnett gone? (one can hope...)  Will there be no small ball?  (Who knows...but that was not the fault of KG, PP, or Doc.  That was the fault of the personnel assembled.  Without PP and KG, and without Doc as a coach, will the team never give up a lead again?

I guess we will see if this team is so much easier to watch.

I agree with this.

I had to laugh out loud when someone posted, "Losing to lottery teams"!

Hate to break it to folks, but, that's likely to still happen on occasion ...

Yeah, but now we're supposed to lose to lottery teams. Before, we had all the pieces necessary to beat lottery teams yet we still lost all too often.

it kinda hurt to see my two favorite payers get old and fragile in their waning years.

I was always certain the Capt. or KG  were gonna get season ending hurt an second and wind up like Kobe
always knowing the whole season hung on their fragile health.

Doc running his players into the ground

Doc not holding players accountable for being outrebounded by players half their size

Doc not holding himself accountable for his own horrid coaching

Praying that a good assistant coach will be on the team because Clifford Ray left and so did Thibs.

Paul Pierce being extremely predictable in the last 15 seconds of a very close game

Was Big Baby part of the Doc era? I still don't miss that.

Brandon Bass as a starter or playing huge minutes. Pretty sure Brad Stevens will figure that out.

I don't think I'll miss JET

Ray Allen pouting

I still don't miss Rasheed Wallace and his brand of "basketball". Doc had his own Toine right there, only less effort. Doc was fine with it.

which brings me to.....as long as you were a vet with a name Doc played you no matter how horrid you were. Ray, Sheed, JET, Bass.....didn't matter how horrid they were. Doc played you

Doc getting paid a ton for all this.

Boston media being in love with Doc with no strings attached

People saying Rondo has an attitude problem because he wasn't getting along with Doc's "coaching" while it was clear Doc was playing head games with Rondo.

Doc doing stupid things like telling Starbury "Be yourself".  Being himself is what got him here. You definitely do NOT want Starbury being himself.

Doc paying more attention to the Clippers than the Celts

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
That one injury...and then that other one...then the two after that plus the one before those two...and the other 50 billion injuries our team faced during the Big 3 era.

Yup.   In the 2007-2008 season, we lost to the lowly Wizards.   Twice, I believe.

Last year, the Cavs came real close to ending the Heat's epic winning streak.

I remember thinking when we had our shot to beat MIA that if we could do it, it would probably end up being our season highlight. The loss and the way we lost really bummed me out.

Pierce being the ONLY go to guy in clutch situations. It was becoming too obvious the Cs would turn to him. There I got it off my chest.

It's funny right? When the 'pierce iso' works out, joy incarnate. But when you're down less than 3, it so rarely seemed to.

Within and of itself I love a good Pierce Iso but it got a point last season when it was blatant that the team wasn't even going to try anything else late game.
