Still, rules are rules, and if you can't have the self-discipline to stay away from the ladies for just 4 days, well, I'm not too impressed.  This guy is quickly on his way to being a wash-out.

Then again, rules are rules and discipline is one thing NBA teams want from their players, especially their rookies.

Don't know if I'm going to laugh at the stupid rules or laugh at Shabazz's not very strong self control.

It's like dismissing someone from driver's ed because they fail the parallel parking test.

Difficult for me to be too judgmental toward him for this 'transgression' but I think it's right that if they make the rule they stick by it. 

Adolescent boys make impulsive mistakes. Not excusing the conduct, just understanding it.  Full-fledged adult men make impulsive mistakes too. They should pay the consequences, but if no harm to people or property then should be forgiven (after the consequences).

I think he only brought one female guest back.  The rest of the rookies each brought three.  So they decided to dismiss him to teach the rook a lesson.

Veterans won't accept just one.

The rule is no guests - male or female - without prior approval. Not a rule that's too hard to understand. The fact that he broke it within hours says a lot about his respect for rules.

I definitely see this kid having a Michael Beasley-esque path.
