The #celtics will open their 2013-14 season and the Brad Stevens era against the Toronto #Raptors, according to two NBA sources

Still trying to confirm if it's in Boston or Toronto. Not an exciting match-up I say. Always hate playing Toronto for some reason.

I understand Washburn is just doing his job, but I can certainly wait 7hrs to find out who the Celtics play on Nov. 1!

I'm excited to see this new-look team, no matter who they play.  Now if this was still the big three era, I would expect and hope for a big match-up.  The fact that they're playing the Raptors just gives them a better chance of winning and starting this new era with a bang.

Well, at least the Knicks are opening against the Bucks last I heard... so, not sure who's doing the scheduling and for what purpose.

A good sign would have been if they were squared up against Philly.  Toronto is bad, but not quit league doormat level.

Maybe the Nets are playing the Heat. That would have some juice, mostly because of PP and KG trying to beat their old nemesis on a new squad.

Meh, considering how much Boston has fallen, I'll take it. Toronto is actually pretty fun to watch with guys like Lowry, Derozan, Gay, and Ross. All of them are highlight reel material. Johnson and Val are great bigs, too.

Well, they have to play the Raptors at some point, right?

It is a bit sad to see the Celtics lose their cache after being spoiled the past 6 years, though.

Heat and Chicago last I heard, we'll see.

Stern is trolling me by putting my most favorite team to open their season against my second likable team.  :-\
