Roster as currently constituted is seriously lacking in 3pt shooting. Ok if you are looking to accumulate assets. Not OK if you are looking to win games. Green, Lee and Bogans are the only ones shooting over .35% from 3 and Bogans did not even manage that last season. Wallace, Brooks, Crawford, Bradley are all between .30 - .33.

If Olynyk can hit some 3's he will be seeing a lot of minutes this season. Pressey likewise.

I think Brooks is better than his stats indicate... probably just didn't get enough looks last year in BK with the DWii/JoJo show taking all the shots

With Rondo not being a 3 point threat the team needs to somehow acquire a SG that is a legit threat outside. I'm sure this is something they are looking at in the future.

If I was Marshon Brooks I would be taking 1000 three-pointers a day, all summer long. HE adds that shot to his game, he'll be a valuable player for us.

Maybe he can even learn how to play defense.

Courtney Lee is like .37-.38 3pt threat so statistically speaking he is the best threat we have. Green is just above that at .38+. Bradley should see a big improvement, but not sure he has the nerves to be a clutch shooter.

If Lee is a backup PG that give us size and 3pt shooting.

Brooks talks a good game, hope he can follow through with it - go PC.

This seems like it could be a real dilemma. Stevens is by all accounts an advanced metrics guy, and right now it seems like the metrics approach heavily emphasizes 3s.

But, we just do not have the personnel for that. Lee's percentages are just OK and his volume is low - just for perspective Houston has nine guys who shot just as well as him last year! OKC had 3 guys shooting better than 40%...we had none last year.

Green shot well for him, but that also just moved him up to the "OK" range and we don't know whether he'll sustain it.

Our other decent threats were Terry, Barbosa and Pierce and they are all gone.

We were 25th in made threes last year. I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up dead last this year.

My hypothesis is our 3pt shooting improves %wise if whoever`s working the Small Forward position resolves to make themselves the team`s interior scoeing threat. That is Greenand Wallace make a point of taking it to the hole. That would likely force less disciplined defences to distort towards them leaving the likes of Lee, Bradley and even Brooks time to make the open 3. Might not be a spectacular, but it would be competent shooting
